Nope it would'nt be great if we used things like steam because it's better to download either from the CD or battle.net, in my opinion battle.net download is liek steam the digital download.
Yes, I use Steam. It is easy to use, has the probably largest range of games and stores them for me to download whenever I want to play them. It also allows me to locally integrate other games, so I can communicate through Steam over the barriers of games with other people.
Yes, i use steam, and mostly since it's a good place to store games, is slightly cheaper and is reliable enough to work.

Yes, Steam. :)
I use steam because sometimes they have great deals on games. While I'd rather actually own the physical discs, for now it fulfills it purpose without too much issue.
I have steam and use it quite a bit. It's got a healthy selection of all sorts of games that are very easy to browse and pick out. The steam sales are also fantastic.
I've been tempted for using steam, they got some really good prices and promotions, but as long as I have my console, I'll be using my pc just for WoW... So, I'm not using any atm (not sure if games downloaded in the console via their own network count though...)
Steam for Total War and Origin for FIFA
I use steam because even when my internet gets shut off in the middle of playing SOME games, I can still play them and my progress is saved. I also use steam because some games I can get at a discount because it isn't a hard copy. Talking about hard copies, I don't have to keep a box full of game boxes and have to dig through them when I wanna play a game I bought years ago. It's nice to be able to bring up any game I have installed and play it. It is also more friendly than Origin.
wowhead is amazeing
I rarely use it but i do use curse which may count as it is a distribution site.
I use steam for digital downloads, because not only does it have almost all the games in its online catalog you can purchase, but they also offer notifications for when games on your wishlist goes on sale at reduced prices.
I use steam quite regularly due to the fact it has some amazing deals at times, and i find it better for social gaming with friends due to the pick up and play nature of some of the games which wow just doesn't have.
I do not currently utilize Steam.
I use Steam because it's extremely useful for consolidating all my game files, saves, backups and friends list. Also have Origin because it's impossible to play some games without it.
I own a couple dozen games on Steam, but not very frequently. I use GOG.com a lot more, in order to reconnect with my favorite games from a decade or two ago, and I've bought over 100 games there, but my main time sink is still WoW.
