Woah!
Finally i might be able to finish the fishing achievements and now that realm hop is dead i'm sure of it.Happy fishing everyone !
Excitement! How long has this been removed from the game now? Hopefully most people might actually have a chance to win now that it's 50 people. CRZ basically would destroy the chance of ever winning if it has stayed the same. Now the question is because of crz as well, how do you figure out how it spawns when you could be on any shard instead of your home server....
Is it spawning today? If so, I am so happy! It's the last one I need for the salty title. Heading there now to set my hearth!
WTB transmog for fishing poles
When I did the old version of the tournament back in MoP, I came in second and still got the ability to pick the ring. You could come in first, second, or third and get the prizes. Only difference between first and second was that I couldn't pick the fishing pole. Don't recall the difference between first and third.Don't fool yourself, though. This isn't an improvement over how it was. Only 50 people or so can win per region? With how many servers? There's certainly more than 50 NA servers. Last I knew there was something like 200 servers in the NA region. This is a HEFTY nerf. It's NOT a fix. Before Blizzard broke it, 3 people per server could win. Now you're lucky to have 1 winner on your server each week. You may go months without seeing a winner on your server. This is as bad as CRZ making old rares like TLPD, etc harder to get years after they're outdated content. This change will only make the fishing contest even more frustrating. You're reliant on the idea that there are fewer and fewer people fishing each week to be able to get a chance to win (the same hope you have when farming rares like TLPD). But since many will be after the ring, boots, and the fishing line (the pole not so much now with the artifact), you're facing the same players potentially three times (at the minimum) each contest. Then you have to compete against players who just want to screw over others. They may win despite not needing the rewards and will vendor it just to screw someone else who did need it. Unless Blizzard makes it impossible to win after you've already won a max of 4 times, there will be jerks who will win despite not needing anything.I wouldn't be too happy with the revamped contest, folks. Your chance of winning is even lower now than it was in Cata when CRZ was first introduced. Unless there's around 600 winners (at least in the NA region) per week, the contest is no where near as easy to win as it was before. And it wasn't even easy to win it before.
This is good news! I am glad to see it has returned. While I am sure many will disagree with me, I really hope that it remains difficult to win. It is good to have difficult accomplishments in each area of the game.I am always annoyed when a so called "Collector" complains about something they will never be able to get. Whether it is because it is too expensive, too rare, too hard, too unavailable, etc..If you are not willing to go to the extremes to acquire every single thing available, then I'm sorry, but you aren't a "true collector" or however you would like to describe it. And if you aren't that dedicated in the first place, then you certainly don't need to have every single thing available anyways. When it comes to the things that are not necessary to be viable for the available content, like appearance items, and titles, then there isn't any reason that they should make every single thing easy to acquire for everyone.
Definitely glad I've already got this achievement. I'd love the boots, but don't think that'll be an easy thing to win now. 50 is really low for region wide.
I definitely regret getting the Arcanite Fishing Pole over the heirloom ring, but I had no idea that any fishing pole would eventually beat the Arcanite one.
Still kind of miffed that a PVP achievement is required to get and otherwise PVE Title.
2:12 in Quel'thalas and the tournament hasnt started - NPC's are there, but no fish.
Will confirm on Kirin Tor. NPC is there, but no quest/fish/announcement.
That heirloom ring should be rewarded just for taking part in the event. It's ridiculously hard these days because of crz.
Glad this is coming back.
Its probably 2pm PST
Initially was almost overjoyed ... so Joyed? But then I read the 50 winners per Region. Like WTF? Do these guys hate us that much?Do they really only support greifers, or are they themselves greifers and love this little hobby of ruining other peoples fun as their idea of fun? Blizz really needs to do some psychological assessments on these people who make the decisions because it looks like they may have imported some of that NEXON NA level of hindsight.
Here at 2pm on Kel Thuzard, but no start. So it must be 2pm PSTBut so many horde... Like 20 to 1 with this CRZ
