I assume the punching the mount was a reference to the Arnold Schwarzneger Conan The Barbarian movie. There's a scene in there where Conan's drunk and punches out a horse.
The part where he punches the wyrm is probably a hat tip to the Conan movie where he punches the camel and a couple of horses too which can be seen on that ...tube site. The demon hunter mount has to be battled into submission also so nothing new here. There are a few more Conan references during the class hall campaign such as the line about hearing the lamentations of the enemy and so forth which is also a famous Conan quote.Mongol General: Hao! Dai ye! We won again! This is good, but what is best in life?Mongol: The open steppe, fleet horse, falcons at your wrist, and the wind in your hair.Mongol General: Wrong! Conan! What is best in life?Conan: To crush your enemies. See them driven before you. And to hear the lamentations of their women.Mongol General: That is good! That is good.If you haven't seen them they are awesome, particularly the one with the great James Earl Jones as Thulsa Doom. From my perspective Conan the barbarian is a classic example of the class fantasy of a warrior which is I guess why the references. The books aren't bad either.
So they expect me to fight a creature who's elite, two levels higher than me with four times the health. They really are taking the piss. Every attempt ended with me dead while my opponent scarcely took any damage. Guess that's two mounts now that I won't be getting, warrior and mage. At this point I'm not holding out much hope for the last three I need, shaman, warlock and monk, if they too involve fighting something so stupidly overpowered.
Makes no sense that Arms is red and not Fury, Fury is all about seeing red and being barbaric, Arms is about as exciting as the color grey, someone goofed on that one, wouldn't be the first time though.
That mount looks stupid :D
