I'm thinking we'll get another expansion similar to Cataclysm where we get an old world revamp due to the old gods making a come back. Based on that I reckon it'll end with us fighting N'Zoth. (I'm also hoping we finally see Ny'alotha as a zone or a raid, a zone or a whole area/continent like the broken isles just based on old gods could be amazing).A new class would be fun to see but I'm hoping we get a new race, not sure what it would be though.
I think we will finaly avake the last old god with all pilars of creation (they are torches to light path). And of course get explanation of Xera diabolical plans with Illidan.
Definitely gonna see some old god action! :D can't wait
I like the idea of new expansion being about the Old Gods. But, alongside with that, I want to see the concept of the war between Alliance and Horde. Yes, we both have the same powerfull enemy we have to fight with, but, isn't this make us kinda similar? Yes, we are having some personal storylines telling, but, after Anduin's storyline on BS, we are going in the same way. At the moment, Alliance=Horde, and I don't like it. I want to see the uniqueness of each faction in the next expanaion.
I think the next expansion will be the "south seas" one - with zones like Zandalar, Tel Abim, Plunder Isle and of course Kul Tiras. Though I wouldn't mind another Cataclysm-like expansion, with updates to the old world. Or even something unexpected, like Pandaria was - for example Azjol-Nerub or the other side of Azeroth. All in all, I'm just looking forward to getting a break from all that Legion green.
I love to see Old Gods expansion. Also i am waiting too long for NAGA race to join the game. Kul'Tiras and Jaina have great background for great expansion.
I personally do like the idea of Jaina returning and the new zone of Kul‘Tiras.I do think that this theory is likely to be real! :)
Void. Gods. Now.But for real I would at least like them to return to the main two continents again for another refresh. Cata levelling is honestly so outdated and all the timelines are messed up anyway. Bring in the Legion scaling and we're golden.
I'm thinking it's going to be a multi-faceted story.- The Old Gods rise, empowered by Azeroth's blood. With them, their prime servants Azshara and Jaina take the field.- The forces of the Void, no longer held back by Sargeras and the Legion, surge out, and more then one champion of the light falls to shadow (Velen?)- Kul Tiras, Nylotha, and wherever Azshara is holed up become playable areas.- With the emergence of the Old Gods, and the absence of Titans to stop them, the pre expansion event will be basically everyone going mad.
It's really good oportunity for Blizzard to make a world rewamp and make an old god expansion I want to see new questing (maybe longer) and better graphics, because old world is really ugly compared to the new one. I want to see chosing new troll leader, bringing back horde vs alliance conflict (maybe for Kul'Tiras). It would be cool if they contentrate more on races and do race campaings (for e.g. Gnomes taking back the Gnomeregan). And of course what happend to Jaina?
I hope we will finally have some Old Gods. Is been speculated since MoP. I also hope they will actually make something with Sylvanas. But not turn her into another Garrosh. I was excited to see her gaining so much attention and then she was abandoned. Not cool man. Oh yeah and Murlocs as a playable race. Or at least Naga. I'll settle with Naga too since I can't see any universe in which Murlocs would be a playable race.
So like, for certain. We're "Re-Legioning" this. Ya know how like our whole world got blown? Demon Hunters, Artifact Weapons, Transmog Tabs, Class-Reworks, Class Re-modeling, new abilities due to the artifact weapons, leveling up your weapon with you. All of this stuff in the beginning of Legion, we loved/hated it. The class-reworks were a bit confusing for most of us but besides that, we LOVED it all. They're going to do it again. By the way that they're sort-of stringing us along for the ride, they've got something big planned. Another "re-work". Of the whole game. It's happenin', no doubt. So much positive feedback, and controversy over, "Is Legion worth it" is definitely a huge moneymaker, and it is even bringing long gone WoW players back! So much can happen, so much NEEDS to happen. It's all suspense, and that's Blizzard's game. They're either going to drop SUCH a bombshell at Blizzcon that we all die from anticipation as soon as we hear it, or nothing at all. They'll say nothing and deliver EVERYTHING. Lower lvl reworks, worgen and goblin model updates, ALL transmog sets instead of just tier and PvP, Unveil the New Expansion that it's coming with, a new system where you can merge classes (that WILL happen eventually, if not here), ability to skip the DH/DK starting zones (will also happen eventually), and everything you could ever dream of. Jaina's not coming back. At least AS Jaina. We're delving into the void boys. And it's not gunna look pretty. Y'all better get hyped af for Blizzcon. Cause wether they tell you exactly what they're doing, or tell you nothing at all, Patch 8.0, is going to be FREAKIN' AMAZING. (Probably like 50+ gigs, but it'll be awesome)! :D-Very Excited WoW player, Fury.
Also, if they don't say anything at Blizzcon or even say stuff, but it seems to draw away from any race/class updates... ...We're getting sub-races.
I am positive we are not having a void expansion next. It took decades even to face Sargeras (which is not even dead yet), and we are definitely not facing the big voidlords up next, at least in their dimension. What happens, I think, is we go back to Azeroth and stay there for a while to deal with the servants of the void, everyone's favourite old gods. Azshara's city, Nyalotha, and other subterranean, underwater locations of Azeroth is where we are are going next. What is very intriguing, I guess, is the current state of the Titan Azeroth, as well as the identity of Elune, both of which will be focal points, I think. To sum up, give me the ticket!
Wonderful post, ty for this info.
I would like to see an old gods/black empire expansion. However I would like to see a grand final boss as something other than nzoth/the old gods, kind of like how WOD and MOP didnt have a “expansion bad guy” unlike the lich king or deathwing in cata.We kind of saw that the final boss of legion would be sargeras/the titans and its been coming all this time, and The special mythic phase kind of hints at sargeras being involved in the fight. The old gods could be the “expansion baddies” but i would like someting drastic to happen after we defeat nzoth in a penultimate raid.
I assume it will be Old God related. Perhaps we will fight N'Zoth at full power.
Personally I'd like to see a new race or two, as an RPer I always look forward to new races because I'm able to come up with new stories and ideas easier. I think if we had a new class it'd come after the upcoming expansion, I feel we might go to a fairly big continent, or the other side of Azeroth. Not keen on the idea of Ethereals being playable myself, I just don't think they make sense.
I'm afraid that we are getting away from the fel-void too fast. I like the old God story, but there's more darkness out there that we need to consider defeating before re-awakening old gods that we defeated. That being said I anticipate that there is a fraction raid similar to ToV to keep the fro-void storyline alive.
What can we add to this awesome article and actually the whole series? Every single hint we got points towards an expansion with Void/Old Gods with 110% sure N'Zoth (the guy is everywhere!). I find the decision to solve this big cosmic wars like the end of the burning legion or the future possibility of dealing with Void Lords themselves to be pretty amazing and feel really really epic.On the other side, I guess as a lot of other players that I am a bit concerned about the fact that they eventually run out of "cosmic" ideas. Since we are going bigger and bigger, can you immagine how depressing may feel to go back to, I don't know, hunt beasts in Stranglethorn?
