Spent 415k on a Crimson Deathcharger than I ended up flipping for close to 600k. To this day I still regret it.
125k for a whooly white mammoth. I actually saw it on the AH, watched him drop prices over the course of several days, and undercut his last price by almost 50k when i wrote him an ingame mail. On my little server, I'm sad to say there arent very many TGC mounts on the AH so chances like this are rare.
Before i started buying tokens my most expensive purchase was a Vial of the Sands back in MoP.. then Hoarding enough to buy a second one for my wife
The most expensive thing I have ever purchased from the AH was probably a mythic leather belt in WoD. I had to part with over 500k to get it. It was the last piece of the set, and the drop had eluded me on all my guild runs, so I just bit the bullet and went with it.
In today's gold it probably doesn't seem like much, but back in the day, I would attempt to corner the market and buy up all the available Wool Cloth that was on the auction house and then repost at higher amounts. Individually, each purchase wasn't too much, but all in all, it was probably in the 15k gold range - which again in today's economy is readily available, but back in vanilla it was a good chunk.
I purchased the sky golem for 90K and a guild mate make it win the same night, i win it ...
My most expensive buy on AH its Vial of the Sands.lthough by today's standards, it is quite small=D
Think the most expensive thing i have bought at least recently is a stack of flasks :D
My most expensive buy on AH was Reins of the Swift Spectral Tiger 850k. It was in MoP. And from that moment on I do not regret it.
I bought "Blue Dragonscale Leggings" for 100k when trying to buy Blue Dragonscale, and didn't pay enough attention.
My most expensive purchase would be the WoW Token that I buy each month. Otherwise, probably the Haunted Memento I bought during Cataclysm, although its price has increased more than 10 fold since then.
My most expensive AH purchase was a Poseidus mount a few weeks ago for 300k. Saw the guy was selling it all day for 400k and in the evening asked him is he is willing to sell it for 300k and he said OK :) After the trade he start messaging about the mount again, guess he had a few to sell :D
Dinosaur bones for the raptor mount.
My biggest purchase....I think it was during WotLK, I was changing servers and moving to another one for trial in top raiding guild.I spend insane amount of money to buy top tier gems, but it was worth it, I passed trial after 2 weeks and grab server first on Lich King and later on Invincible :)
Bought steelbound harness because it was very cheap and sold it for triple the gold.
The most expensive thing I’ve ever purchased was and still stays the wow token. If tokens do not count, then it will be a pair of engineer rockets, deliberately purchased from the same person in order to make them happy (:
I think my most expensive purches would be the crimson death charger. But i bought it back in WOD after getting very lucky and having a epic trinket BOE drop which I sold for about 300k gold so i went on a spending spre even bought the sky golem one for me, another for a friend.
The most expensive thing Ive bought was is the Wow time tokens. But Id say the most exciting thing Ive bought is when I found the Ruby Panther Mount on my realm for 11k. Normally they was going for a lot more than that. I bought one for myself and as a gift. Warlords really got me into making gold in Wow. I dont make hundred of thousands like a lot but I feel I do really good at what I do.
My largest AH purchases are easily TCG mounts - it's been a good while since both of these purchases so I'm not sure which was more expensive at the time, but it was either the X51 Nether Rocket Xtreme, or the Mottled Drake. :)
Most expensive purchase, for sure a Spectral Tiger a few years ago, bought it for 650k.And most expensive purchase on the BMAH was a T3 druid set piece that costed around 300k gold.
