Preliminary afflicition warlock changes are very exciting. We get all the good stuff back plus more. Looks like drain-gameplay will take a backseat for those who want to cast shadowbolt again.
I think Arcane's rotation is going back to something like it was in WoD, except now it's 80% lmao
When you look at the numbers coming out of Antorus, you'll see a major imbalance for the DPS specs at the top of the charts, and those at the bottom. Affliction Warlocks need nerfed badly. Windwalker Monk could also use a slight notch down. BM Hunters, on the other hand, need quite a boost to make the spec even competitive. Right now, there's a 20 point spread between top DPS spec (Afflication Warlock) and bottom DPS spec (BM Hunter). That kind of spread is absolutely unacceptable and to me indicates some favoritism at play from the developers. What I like to see is a curve that's relatively smooth. Something like during T20 (ToS), where there was only a ~12 point spread between top and bottom. Even that could have been improved upon slightly. Instead, a huge imbalance is now present. Hopefully these changes will be in the interest of bringing things back into more of a balance than they are now.
so happy with Arms warrior changes!
Marksmanship seems interesting. Cannot wait to give it a try!
These are very interesting changes. Especially to those with Mastery changes and especially to survival!
Mind Sear getting reverted back to an actual spell? Surrender to Madness not killing you? This is interesting.
Nooo my Unending Breath =(
The return of the melee support enhancement shaman!
Perhaps I'm reading this wrong, but are they forcing Lone Wolf on Marksmanship again? That didn't fly to well in the build-up to Legion, so I'm holding out hope that they'll reinstate Lone Wolf as an optional talent for the spec. I've been running MM since I started playing in late BC, and I'd hate to abandon it just to keep the pets I'm so attached to. Overall I'm interested in the changes to make it more mobile, but I really don't want them trying to take away pets by default again.
Havoc DH Fel rush on a 1 sec cooldown? Yes please! :D but I'm quite afraid it wont stay, it sounds so overpowered...
Read some changes... started to panic about Warlock mainly ... remembered this isn't set in stone and can't really say its bad or good until i try it.
that warlock overhaul has me very, very, excited.
The thing that shocks me is that Blizz outright said that they were just iterating on what exists already. This here is a full-on overhaul in all but name. I mean, seriously, entire new talent trees and all. Why do they keep lying to us about so much? For god's sake.
I had to remind myself that this is beta and everything's still in the oven, because reading this, it's easy to get spooked. I play an Arcane Mage, and I'm not 100% sure I understand or necessarily like what they're doing to our rotation. Arcane Missiles costing mana feels pretty wild, but it also looks like they took away the proc restrictions across the board, so I'm willing to wait and see how it actually feels- for all I know, it could be buttery smooth, especially with the changes to Evocation. The Mana Adept talent is really interesting, because out of the gate, it seems like it could only affect your first two casts of Missiles- but if Clearcasting procs on the first cast cast, you stay above 80% and get to fire more missiles. Sounds like a great damage boost. Clearcasting's proc chance seems really high, so there's a lot to like there. 2.5% chance per 1% of mana comes out to 45% chance per Missiles cast, right?I'm really excited to see this in action. It could be amazing, or it could be uncomfortable. Just looking at the numbers, I can't tell which- but I'm thrilled that articles like this are finally coming out, because now I have so much to think about!
I don't think it's about stats squish because here they're lowering the percentages...
Warlock changes don't look godawful this expansion so far. Exciting. I'm really sad about soulflame and unending breath though.
