To those complaining about people voicing up their discontent about any changes during alpha. Thats almost the entire point of alpha. The idea is to get early feedback to make a class fun to play by those that play it and anyone that may consider giving it a try in the future. Obviously the feedback needs to be given in a coherent way, but I would encourage anyone to carry on with any complain they have about any changes!
This is a nice change feeling a bit like it was before. Bit More diversity on what I tame.
It feels like this gives more freedom, not less? I guess I'm confused - are there raiding hunters who don't have two of their five spots devoted to a lust and brez pet anyway? This just lets more pets be those type
I'm one of the people that brought up the change here, and I want to just quell a few things:The pet damage is the same regardless of its type - your choice comes down to the utility you want either from the active/passive tools you get or the weird utility a pet has with slows/mortal strike effects.I think it's healthier to treat it simply as a more flexible extra talent tier, you pick the pet that suits the situation you have. Bear in mind you can always dismiss and resummon pets when needed for the different effects (which I think is super powerful) without worrying that if that pet is active it's at a disadvantage with output.
They really are into undoing design changes that were likely pushed by GC
And all the mechanical pets being cunning is a joke, oh let’s introduce something players have wanted for a long time, then just take it away in pve. Cool, thanks, awesome.

Mechanical pets got a defensive ability, why aren’t they tanks?
Maybe I'm a bad hunter, but I don't care about my pet's utility. I use a mechanical chicken because I find it funny that a chicken is tanking mobs in PvE. If this changes that I'm not going to be happy.
It seems Cunning will be the best Pet for any group that already has Heroism/Bloodlust: +8% movement speed and immunity to roots allows helps to bypass raid mechanics, while 3% leech is pretty much useless.
I really like my Quilen, I don't want to swap to crane or moth... :/
Terrible change that should be reverted. It's fine for some pets to be BETTER tanks or DPS than others, based on their special abilities, but I want to DPS with my Loque I've had for 10 years now!
yeah this willl not play nice with the new idea for haste/AP stats scaling damage
Please just leave our pets as they are. Quit changing stuff that doesn't need changing!
