At this point we need three factions. The Alliance, the honor Horde and the undead Horde. - Sylvanas fans don't care about rules of engagement and believe EVERYTHING is fair game in war. They call Baine and Saurfang wimps and traitors even though Sylvanas betrayed the Horde and her own people that loved her (read before the storm).- Baine isn't a wimp, he blew up at Sylvanas at the battle of Lordaeron about ditching Saurfang but he isn't going to risk the lives of the living Horde by opposing her in the middle of a war. The Alliance still wants to kill ALL of the Horde at this point and all fighting her would do is weaken the Horde and get them all killed.I clearly am not a Sylvanas fan but this whole story line is interesting and frustrating. I want to know what is gonna happen with her. I want to see what the Forsaken do if she shows them that they are also only "arrows" in her quiver. The reason some many people are mad at her character is because she went from a BAD ASS character that will do everything for her people to just a BAD character that only cares about herself. Creating three factions will allow the honor horde to be who they want to be and the undead fanboys get to be the brutal evil dudes that they want to be. Just because I don't agree with them doesn't mean I don't think they should be the kind of character they want.
Obviously this is part of creating new allied races that blur the lines of factions. They'll never combine the factions, but they'll do this. They soooo are throwing lore out the window with this though. Undead Night Elves, Blood Elves? I guess either we just stop caring about the lore or not play the game at all; there is no way to stick to both and it make any sense.
Lol, this is literally MoP 2.0. Sylvanas will be killed, it's 100% sure. I will return to the game just to behead this banshee !@#$% and her army of second - hand followers :P
Third faction incoming...
She's not going to end up like Garrosh, because they are not going to kill her. She's going to escape and start her own undead fraction.
At this point, I feel like I want to have a neutral faction away from these crazy bastards that will eventually go evil and we have to put them down. When it is happening AGAIN with the Horde...Garrosh 2.0...but WORSE, our horde characters look like #$%^ing fools to allow it to happen or act suprised when Sylvanas goes worse than Lich King. Again...I've been saying it since beta, and the whole 'morally grey' bull&*!@, that this expansion does not make me wanna play more or feel enjoyment or pride in my actions in game...instead I keep feeling either anger or frustration as Horde. Being FORCED to follow along the evil actions if I want to PLAY the game. The whole premise of this expansion might've been interesting....but not this quick and not this terribly executed. And of course the premise is also a lie when the real threat is again an Old God, N'zoth and Azshara. Honestly, none of the events that happen and how characters allow it to happen so fast after the Legion, makes no sense.
I just can't wait for the big reveal that everything Sylvanas has done so far has been for the greater good of all of Azeroth, and the Alliance and the naysayers of the Horde have to swallow their pride and work with her since they'd be doomed without her.Maybe the Forsaken are the only ones immune to N'zoth's whispers and the Alliance will have to call a truce to allow Sylvanas and her undead forces the space to actually kill N'zoth. Maybe Azeroth herself wanted Sylvanas as Warchief, not only because she'd be most effective at defeating the Legion, but because Sylvanas's paranoia ensures that every last bit of Azerite is gathered up by mortals rather than consumed by the Old God parasites that infect Azeroth.Maybe Genn or Alleria or Umbric go crazy, call on the Old Gods for power to defeat the Horde, and Sylvanas has to lead the assault to save the Alliance from Void corruption.
I posit my theory on where this is going for your entertainment:Sylvanas is going to keep going deeper and deeper. At some point, there's going to be a breakpoint, and I think it will be just one character...they'll off her in a rage or mok'gora, or attempt to. Then they'll name a new warchief and that warchief will attempt to talk to the alliance about ceasing hostilities. But the Alliance, whose fed up by this point lays out that there will only be peace if the horde is confined to Quel'thalas, Durotar, and Mulgore. The Horde obviously won't be able to accept that. And it will continue into a bitter war, with the Horde losing ground at every turn and starting to wonder if they were wrong to reject Sylvanas's methods.I see the starting of the minor split (concerning Darkshore) between the night elves/worgen and Anduin growing. That is, unless he fully commits himself to not just pacifying the Horde, but utterly defeating them. I can't see Genn letting Anduin half do it either. It also wouldn't surprise me if at some point, the Lightforged of Draenor show up, team up and push the Alliance to commit to converting or defeating the Horde. Along the lines of conversion, they would probably push Calia into pursuing Horde converts, such as recently raised forsaken, to become lightforged and join the alliance. I mean, it would be fun to see the Alliance commit to be more warmongering than the Horde, while the Horde is feeling more on its heels and grasping at straws.-----As to the Vulpera haters, if you're Alliance, I think you need to level a Horde in Vol'dun, if you haven't. I gained a completely different respect for them when I did. They definitely aren't just a cutesy race...they're survivors and have they're own attitudes about the world that feels so natural and practical. If you're a Hordie hating the idea of Vulpera, realize that they have a almost tribal like thing going on, similar to the Tauren before they were united by the highmountain or the bloodhoof...they just need a leader.
The main thing that makes me mad about people saying Sylvanas is right and, "honor means nothing to a corpse" is a LOT of the Horde races actually have good afterlives waiting for them after death the Orcs and Tauren will join their ancestors, the Trolls will go to Bwonsamdi, the Elves will enjoy a peaceful rest, but Sylvanas just dismisses all that saying death is awful just because HER after life is going to Warcrafts version of hell and demands everyone else just sacrifice their beliefs for her. Personally I'm glad the characters are sticking to their guns and not even pretending to like what she's doing cause even if death comes for them at least Baine will be able to face his father and Saurfang will be able to face his son and as this game has showed in many forms the afterlifes aren't so bad between the Light, Bwonsamdi, the Emerald Dream, joining your loved ones, or just enjoying peaceful rest, it seems Warcrafts hell is only reserved for the truly evil cause Before the Storm said that Faol had Light in him that even Turalyon could sense, so I believe not all undead go there, just those who deserve it go there i.e. Sylvanas.
*Pandastuck munches on some popcorn.*
The real issue here is that the Sylvanas haters can't refute her points or factually object to her actions.Sylvanas is right in that the Alliance as it is now will never let the Horde exist in peace, and thus the Horde must dictate the terms of this peace.Sylvanas has sacrificed personal resources in order to advance the interests of the Horde as a whole. The Burning of Teldrassil was to ensure security for the Kalimdor Horde. The Siege of Undercity was engineered to minimize Horde losses and maximize Alliance ones (and which would have succeeded three separate times at cutting off the head of the Alliance had they not had plot armor), including prioritizing teleporting out civilians. Forsaken troops have been fighting and dying on the front lines just as much as the rest of the Horde forces if not more so.The only Forsaken Sylvanas has raised (the mindless skeletons at the Siege of Undercity are only their raised bodies, not souls/minds like normal undead are) have either been long dead Alliance forces, current Alliance forces, and so far a single Blood Elf who seems to relish the chance at unlife. Despite her taunts, teasing, and pretty obvious desire, Sylvanas has NOT raised any orcs, trolls, tauren, goblins, pandaren, nightborne, etc. and has not made a habit of raising Blood Elves. Hell, the Fogsail Freebooters (an entirely human group) have not been killed and raised, despite how easy it would be to do so. Sylvanas knows she's massively unpopular because of her race, and knows that public opinion is a large part of maintaining the Warchief position. She knows that challenges for leadership a la mak'gora or just general rebellion are completely legitimate forms of power transfer within the Horde. If Baine or Saurfang or Lor'themar were actually upset enough with the direction Sylvanas is taking the Horde, they'd rebel or leave or challenge for leadership, as is their right and duty to do so.
