Heirloom Upgrade Token Prices Reduced on the 8.1.5 PTR

In the most-recent new build on the PTR (that was deployed yesterday), the prices of the upgrade tokens were adjusted. They should now be:

However, some of those upgrades are unnecessary if you're progressing through the game. For example, in Legion, there was no point for me to upgrade my weapon (since my artifact weapon(s) would always be "better"). Similarly in BfA, I don't anticipate upgrading (or using) the heirloom helm or chest armor. While the added experience would certainly be welcome, it's arguably better to don some BfA quest reward Azerite gear.

Of course, on the other hand, now that Legion is over, I'll still need to upgrade weapons so that I have a viable weapon option for levels 111-120.Comment by NihilatosAs people have stated, having a single token to upgrade an heirloom is the most logical course of action. Four upgrades for an heirloom is simply stupid.Comment by BlueshiftStep in the right direction but even a remotely intelligent person with boat-loads of gold isn't going to bother upgrading heirlooms in their current state. Especially given how fast leveling is without them.

When Hierlooms upgrades came out I had only a handful of alts to use and cap with. I didnt dump gold into upgrading the hierlooms I needed and I didnt level different alt characters back to back so the gold was spent over time. I have every hierloom upgraded to level 110. Also every holiday event with a currency like the Lunar Festival currently going or Darkmoon Faire which is also up this week overlapping sells hierloom upgrade tokens for tickets. If you are playing alts and never wanted to pay with gold you never had to. You just had to play the holiday events. Still this is nice that there isnt as much of a sink on players. Its unfortunate that a lot of players still whine about old stuff when things have been improved. At the end of the day if you dont like something or how its implemented dont supportComment by EvilDelightsyou all are talking like gold is so hard to make now days 100k is what a day of farming flowers .. maybe more if your a weekend warrior

For a full set of heirlooms with minimal overlap, but allowing for every spec to level, assuming
- You have already upgraded everything to level 100
- You do not need a necklace due to heart of azeroth

Armor

You will need
Head x 4
Shoulders x 4
Chest x 4
Pants x 4
Cloak x 3
Trinket x 1 (the healing one is enough IMO)

Shield x 2 (1 str and 1 int)

Total 22 armor tokens for 5000 each

Weapons

You will need

Str
2H Sword (Arms, Fury, Ret, Blood, Unholy)
1H Sword (Prot, Prot, Frost)

Agi
Bow (MM, BeastM)
Staff (Surv, Feral, Guardian, BrewM)
Dagger (Sub, Assn)
1H Mace (Outlaw, Enh, WW, Havoc, Vng)

Int
Staff (All clothies, RestoDruid, Balance, MW)
Mace (Ele, RestoShammy, HolyPally)

Total 8 weapon tokens for 7500 each

TOTAL: 170000g
Again, assuming all of that is already upgraded.
This is the minimum IMO, but will be more if you want tank-specific cloaks or trinks or something, or if you're dealing with rings? I don't care about rings personally.
