I like this /u/Zapph guy's ideas, they're pretty spot on.I do really hope the lacklustre Tools of the Trade get buffed though. Why do the combat bonuses have to be so terrible when they're already a large initial investment, restricted to easy content and have an individual cost each time they're used? And ones like the LW and Engi one that only have combat bonuses and nothing that's actually linked with the profession are really weird; if they were all like the Alchemy and Tailoring one, they'd be a fantastic addition to the game.
Multiboxing doesn't bother me. If someone enjoys multiboxing let them play how they want. Tmog sells for crap on both of my servers sadly (mayb because of multiboxing or not who knows) But it doesn't bother me because I can get mog cheap this way.As for the tools I have to be honest I have started the questline for most professions but as soon as a quest asks me to go into a dungeon I stop the chain completely. Its less interesting to me maybe because I've ran these same dungeons hundreds of times already. I'll finish them when I finish them is what I have decided.
It’s too much like the college admissions cheating scandal: you’re farming herbs, find yourself behind a boxed set of cloned toons (all the same class and level, so don’t give us BS about different classes), and every darn node is exhausted. It’s restraint of trade by the wealthy. Ida Tarbell and I resent it.
Can anyone give me some insight on what exactly is involved in expulsom shuffling? I can get a lot of them but it's ver difficult to find any use for them. I can create follower equipment and BoE 340 gear, that's all.
even if you cant follow in pvp any good multiboxer has deathknights so escaping is pretty much impossible they will just grab you back in
Multiboxing is a built in pay-to-win feature, but it's not thought of that way.
they teleport you around and you just run right back to your group (which is something a bot would do, according to Blizzard)Well a long time ago I was in the same guild that Honorbuddy's leveling bot designer Kicks was in. And yeah I used to bot back then as well. Nothing game breaking but still I did do it years ago. And yes the bots will run back to their way points set in their scripts. Blizzard knows this because Blizzard had Honorbuddy accounts and looked at how the bots worked and such. They used that info to help them crack down on the bots. So the Bot developers had to constantly patch the bots to behave slightly differently to help stay ahead of Blizzard. Also most people that used bots used smerf accounts to do their farming and such. But that was a long time ago and I stopped using them because I didn't want to lose my main account. But it was always strange seeing Blizzard posting about how they were making efforts to get rid of bots. And the questing and leveling developer just laughing because they knew what Blizz was really doing. So they just kept extra scripts ready for patch days to update the bots to have them behave just a bit differently than before. Most people who got caught were just idiots who would leave the bots running for hours and hours sometimes days or over night while they slept. The bots would get reported or get caught on some terrain and glitch. lol I used to report other bots to thin out competition and since I knew what my bot did and how it acted I knew exactly who else was running one. Hell Blizzard should of gave me free game time given how many bots I reported back then lol. Even if I was just doing it for my own selfish reasons. But yeah a peek behind the curtains for anyone who ever wondered.
passes box of tissues
I wouldn't call multiboxing cheating, but i think given the average played bases ability to compete against it, it becomes a slippery slope. You could be making enough to control the AH on a server, and all because you can have a program that copies your keystrokes across those different profiles? Not cheating but definitely on the lazy and unfair end of the spectrum to me. It would be something different if you had to tab over to personally interact with that character, but having a third party program that you have to have a paid sub for that links it all together for you, once again really doesn't sound fair to me considering you're paying for a sub to the game...
