All the people that complains about catch-up forgets it also help those that have been unlucky with m+/raid drops like I'm 418 equip but still a few slots still at 400-405 so it can even help those players
Catch up mechanism is a vital part of endgame content. Every player should have an opportunity to do whatever they like in the game without devoting a ton of time to side activities.
Oh lawd thank you, I couldn't bare running 10 alts through world quests.
It would be nice if they made these pices available in the shop for just 1.99£, or just a bundle to fully upgrade your character for just 39.99£ to ilvl 400.Neck upgrade for just 3£ per level or a booster pack for increased azerite gain for just 0.99£That would be so awesome. Also these demn upgrade systems are so farm orientated and so repetitive for every expansion especially when you are in an organized group you can obtain them by beeing boosted or just buy it with gold or real doe, but thats besides the point.Down from the the expansion everyone disliked and hated and blah blah while i liked it for its uniqueness since that has been the end of cool stuff in wow and the point where they started to copy paste and play with plasteline trying to remodel it in all shapes. So i wonder how the new island will be? Timles island 3.0...or something magic. In the end will be just another freak farm no fun dejvu content. But as a "smart" person said once. "If you dont like it, dont play it."The end.
This is the main concept of any MMORPG, procrastination usually pays off.Let's throw out the concept of "catch up gear" even and use a different scenario.Let's say I played at the very beginning of an expansion, got to max level and quit..Two years later I start up with the new expansion and immediately my gear is better than EVERYONE that played that full expansion. You essentially throw it all away and start over. The artifact weapons are perfect example, if you skipped Legion your green crappy weapon in BfA is better than any Legion artifact, especially after they gutted the system.Don't be mad at the players that take breaks from the game, be mad at Blizzard for making this system in the first place. Maybe you have players not able to skip item levels in the game, would that be a better solution. So I would have to grind around looking for small upgrades to every piece of gear, once I have all those pieces upgraded, I can then start on the next tier, and so forth. It would take months to "catch-up" as it were to everyone else. How many people do you think would sub back up to do that?ZERO, me included. I have 9 level 110 characters and by taking 8 months off from the game I can jump in and be right where most of the players are so I can play WITH those players and not by myself.
The point I was trying to make is that the expac is only 7 months old and they are giving end of expac catch-up gear.
Think about it guys the main reason we are getting a raid earlier, getting catch up gear and a grind island is because Classic is coming out in the summer. It's definitely affect our active playerbase so we are getting are content earlier and easier so that it isn't competing with Classic.
