I hate Sylvanas so much, but i understand why she fought with Bolvar so easily and defeated him, but if this pact was since WotLK, then how could Greymane get on draw with here? This makes no sense at all, and it was only 2 expansions ago. Otherwise, yea, Bolvar wasn't Arthas, as mentioned already many times, no Frostmourne, some randomish mace (Which is fookin awesome). But damn, this frozen mist in battle was delicious, sadly not very well executed.
For the Dark Lady, always.
A very nice thery. Thanks, Wowhead!
I think it's a very boring storyline. no one likes Sylvanas so yeah But I see that they put a lot of effort and it goes from every expansion till now...Pretty sure blizz made it just so people will hate her more and at the end we will kill her
Some things to consider...-If you actually look at the Cosmic Chart. Reality is in the center. That is Azeroth. Is Azeroth the Titan of Reality? Is she the true 'Center of the Universe'? I think she is.- The 6 Cosmic Forces are: Light, Shadow, Life, Death, Order & Disorder. Each of them is a power and most likely, each of them is equal to one another, each of them is a part of the Universe as a whole, and none of them can 'win'. The entire Cosmos would be out of wack, and with Azeroth/Reality at the center, we are smack in the middle of all the *!@#! Everytime one of them tries to exert control over the Cosmos, we get F!@#ed!- The Shadowlands is very small in comparison to the Cosmsos, it is just the gateway ultimately to Death... it is surrounded by Decay and Air, above it is Undeath then Necromantic and finally Death itself. - We have been seeing the Cosmos from the point of view of the Titans. But if you look at the Cosmic Chart, they are on par with Wild Gods, The Burning Legion, Undeath, Old Gods and the Naaru.- The Void Lords are over the Old Gods, but they are not the end all be all of their cosmic pillar, they are just subordinate to the Void, which actually is subordinate to Shadow. So the Void Lords serve Shadow, not the Void.- Maybe Titans get their affinity to a certain cosmic power by how close their planet, or world soul was to a cosmic pillar, like Eonar, to Life for example. Maybe Sargeras was always going to betray his kin for the Burning Legion because his world soul was closest to Disorder... And as we learned Argus was close to Death, etc...- The Emerald Dream and the Shadowlands are just gateways into a cosmic pillar. Just as the Titans, the Naaru, The Burning Legion are etc...-Sargeras wanted to end life in the universe so the void couldn't get Azeroth... He was always tied to the Burning Legion because that logic was false and flawed to begin with. The Burning Legion comes from the Twisting Nether, when deamons die, their souls go back to the Twisting Nether and are reborn into more deamons, they dont go to the Shadowlands and Ultimately Death, teh go into the Pillar of Disorder, which doesnt make any sense at all, because the Twisting Nether is not even on the Cosmic Map. So there are some Universe Story Gaps there!- Chronicles 1 clearly states who the Denizens of the Cosmos are, Void Lords, Naaru, Titans, Legion, Old Gods, Wild Gods, Elemental Spirits and Undead. This leave sooo much narrative and story-telling space. Since for the most part we have only known the world through the eyes of the Titans. We have seen in the story the Naaru trying to exert influence on the cosmos, obviously the Burning Legion has been trying to sow disorder (makes sense, their cosmic pillar is Disorder, duh!), The Elemental Spirits are always messing around, Void Lords and Old Gods are always trying to bring the end of all things, i.e. Shadow/Void. Life and Death are just a cycle of existence and will always be there.I don't understand why so many people are clinging to the TINY story that was Warcraft. It was a new game, and you learned a tiny, tiny, tiny fraction of the Universe that was. You met new characters and fell in love with them, Thrall, Jaina, Arthas, etc... BUT they were just a tiney weeny part of the Universe. It's like you think you and your buddies in your nieghborhood back in some poophole town you grew up in are the center of the Universe, then you grow up, move away and realize there actually is a world out there. You still love your friends and your history, you love your hometown, but at some point you realize that it is just a tiny fraction of the wolrd, and you need to embrace what is real. You are no longer the center of things, grow up.Some people though, want to be more than just some kid, boy or girl from a small town, they want to be President or something. For example.... Sylvanas. Even as an Elf, she was a conceited, self-loving b!@#tch!. She thought she was the #$%^, she was the best. Then she got smacked down by the boy in the next town, Arthas!. She got pissed and guess what, at some point she decided that nobody was gonna smack her down again. She was going to take the wolrd by the balls and own that %^&*. Now she is embracing the Comsic powers for what they are and she wants a piece of the pie. She sees the big picture and wants to be part of it, even if it costs the Azeroth. She is making bargins with other entities that have isssues with their situations, i.e. Helya, who is one pissed off character herself. I am willing to bet, that whoever this Jailor is, he/she is not happy about being stuck as the babysitter for all the worst souls in the Cosmos and he either wants out too or he wants control, because he/she feels like they got the short end of the stick too! They are just another entity vying for power and control, like Sylvanas.Stop whining about how Sylvy is getting allot of screen time, remember well loved to hate on Green-Jesus for awhile there, and plenty of other characters got lots of screen time, it is part of story-telling. get over it. Just to wrap this novel up.... I hate Sylvanas, I want her head on a pike and I want her to suffer eternal anguish! For the Alliance!
I just want to stab Sylvanas with my weapon. Never really liked her that much. Now that she is setting us "free" I just dislike her more. Power hungry corpse, should have stayed dead impaled on those Icecrown spike, damn Valkyrs bringing her back.. xD
OoOo yes can’t wait to see how the storyline plays out. Can’t believe it’s been all connected!
I like how everyone memed about sylvanas being "morally-gray" but the more we learn about her the more true it feels. (In my eyes anyway.)
hype!
While i don't care much for Sylvanas, it's going to be interesting to see were this goes
Can’t wait to learn more about this Jailer. I’m not that much of a fan of Sylvanas but hopefully this whole storyline can maybe change that.
Azshara is not dead yet is she? I hope we revisit Helya's story, we have waited two expansions for it! Also, Sylvanas has caused so many problems, if she does not die in some horrible way in the end, I will be very upset.
I'm still angry that our choice to side with her had pretty much no impact on anything outside of dialogue and two or three swapped quests in 8.2.5. Other MMO's like SWTOR and ESO do choice and consequences justice so much better than Blizzard.
what a very interesting read and fills in a lot of gaps
Big boy Voljin!
Is the Jailer a truly boss of Sylvanas?
Thanks for the great recap.
There are so many twists I haven't kept up with lately, I feel like a need a novel just to do it justice.
