Pretty awesome, but it makes the textures look a bit unpolished in a few places. (It is noticeable in the old one too now that it's been pointed out to me). It doesn't take away from it, though - it looks great!
That awkward moment when you realize that fans are putting more effort on WoW improving than its current founders.
felt like my eyes melted a little seeing how awesome this is! now i really want to see the cata one next!
A W E S O M E !
That awkward moment when you realize that fans are putting more effort on WoW improving than its current founders.\r\rYeah man, blizzard didn't upscale an 11 year old youtube video. They really suck. I agree with you. Blizzard should be cancelled for how god awful the game is now that their old youtube videos aren't naturally in 16K quality!
That was utterly magnificent. I want more of that!

It doesn't take away from it, though - it looks great!\r\rThe process isn't perfect. Some things just won't get improved as much as others, while there's also a general amount of Youtube compression. The original video is also 24 fps and uses motion blur to smooth out the visuals; unfortunately upscaling AI sees motion blur as low resolution artifacting and attempts to un-blur it, which can sometimes break up the images frames.\r\rIt's still worlds better than it was, which is really the main point.
Looks insane!, thanks to those who made it!
Beautiful, gratz!\rI need to play WotLK one more time, Blizz...
Call me cynical, but it just looks like the fantasy filter that Blizzard may use on cinematics got removed to sharpen the detail a bit... not quite as different as the UnReal engine zone re-renders.
If you really liked Wotlk, you dont need a "ULTRA 20K HD" to enjoy this cinematic xD, but its ok

upscaling is just damn awful though.
Looks absolutely fantastic!
My god, that is beautiful. I can't actually watch it in 8k, so I had to watch it in 4k, but just.. wow.\r\rI also hadn't really ever listened to what King Menethil says in the cinematic. Talking about ruling with wisdom and showing restraint, just as Arthas raises a massive undead dragon, the opposite of restraint. Except at the very end of WotLK, we learned that he had always shown restraint while commanding the Scourge. What a wonderful story that was.
Truly a wondrous time to be alive!
absolutely beutiful! gives me the chills everytime i watch this cinamatic!
New generation kids are excited to see anything on "8k" but even with 12 years old tech, blizz kinda nailed it with this cinematic back then.
I cant tell the difference
That awkward moment when you realize that fans are putting more effort on WoW improving than its current founders.\r\rGiga biga yikes train of thought.
