Honestly, I am in the boat with that Nzoth, The Black Empire, and Nyalotha should have all been made an expansion. Especially since they have been building up the story to Nzoth since The Burning Crusade, if not before. And with Wrathion's talk of the dragon isles, that got me excited that there would be a-lot more dragon lore, dragon-related zones, and maybe even a dragon allied race somewhere in the mix. With that data mined dragon isles model, and with the text that it was planned to be some kind of temple to N'zoth, it would have been cool. I am hoping that in one of the Shadowlands patches they will bring the dragon isles, and maybe make it that it has been taken over by a part of Nzoth that still lives, or maybe that it is some kind of place where bad guys are trying to resurrect him? Honestly, I have hopes that this is not the expansion where we "Kill" N'zoth. There is SO much more that he could be part of, he feels wasted on being taken down in a single patch. Since C'thuun and Yog'sarron are not actually "Dead" just "Defeated" I believe that we will see at least SOME Old-God stuff again. Just, Blizz, please, don't make us kill him for good...... Think about it, an expansion where the Old-Gods return.... World of Warcraft: The Black Empire. (Please don't judge name lol)
You didn't think to ask about the supposed "best" azerite traits from Ny'Alotha, and how some specs are just SOL while others are gifted dream traits? How MM and BM hunters, fury warriors, ret pallies, unholy DKs are the only dps specs to only have a 485 weapon from N'Zoth, while others have access to 485 weapons from Carapace? I guess blatantly asking for lore spoilers that were never going to be answered was a better use of this opportunity, wasn't it?
That PTR Alleria answer has me more hyped than any of the content questions! Oooh man! I hope we eventually get a conversation between Yrel and Alleria. Its a wish I've had for a while now and with whispers being so strong after this I want it even more! eeeeeeeeeeeeee
Absolutely fantastic interview! The feedback as to the why those chose this or that with a heavy focus on elements being story-related is refreshing. Sometimes, while reading data-mined things it leaves me with a lot of questions usually starting with "why." This interview gives me a lot of clarity.
