Leveling Up Without a Spec - the Most Arduous Path to Level 50

A new style of challenge leveling has emerged to join the ranks of
speed
and
neutral leveling
, as players have begun making their way to level 50 without ever having chosen a spec! Since its been discovered that Allied Races start at level 10 without an initial specialization selected, and regular races do not have one automatically assigned upon reaching level 10, players have taken it upon themselves to level up without ever choosing how to specialize.
Technically this isn't new, as it was also possible back in
Mists of Pandaria
, but the recent leveling changes have made it even more interesting as so many more spells are specialization-specific than they used to be and the result is a surprising challenge! While the unpruning brought some basic universal abilities back to the baseline classes, most of the better abilities come from specializations, leading these pure classes woefully lacking in capability.
So far, a handful of players on Reddit have reported reaching level 50 without choosing a specialization, including a
Warrior
,
Rogue
, and
Monk
, all with varying degrees of difficulty throughout.
The
Warrior willwarb
reported a fairly easy time, not being able to pull many mobs at one time and difficult elites, but overall fairly decent experience.
Yeah, but I’d rather quit than herb longer than 14 seconds.
The
Rogue Marbles
on the other hand only made it to level 20 before troubles set in, to the point where it became difficult to complete quests on their own, eventually relying on the help of unwitting allies in dungeons and battlegrounds to continue on, with playing expressing confusion and concern over their astonishing lack of DPS potential.
Woe to the players who suffered through having to play with the world's most useless rogue.
Finally, the
Monk Raihan
who chose the class for its unique spec-less ability to cast
Effuse
and
Spinning Crane Kick
with no cost or cooldown, which came in handy as it eventually took upward five minutes to kill just a few mobs.
You do not get any stronger than when you were at level 10.
There will certainly be many more to come, and it feels as though players may end up competing for which has the worst class-less leveling experience, but there is a certain satisfaction to seeing the simple title of Shaman, Mage, or Death Knight without any sort of spec-identifier.

Hey, I actually responded to this a few times in the reddit thread, but it is dejacharacterstats
I'm pretty sure dejacharacterstats shows only ilvl as I use it myself. Echants and gems info must come from other addon. It's elvui maybe? Could you confirm that?
I've been using KibsItemLevel (continued) for that, but addon hasn't received any updates for 2 years now. It somehow works with community fixes, but there're some bugs now in 9.0.1.
Edit: ok, found in reddit thread. Someone confirmed, that enchant and gems info comes from elvui.

Just because you can... doesn't mean you should
It's a game dude. There's no 'should/shouldn't'.
Except he SHOULDNT que for dungeons and battlegrounds without a spec this is fun and fine to do if your questing and not impacting others like doing barely any damage in dungeons
