Maybe, y'know, they could buff tank threat. I struggle against enemies who have damage reduction buffs. I hit them but they ignore me and it's a little annoying to deal with.
Wait so I have to use HoA as tank (Bear) because I can't keep hold of aggro cuz my mates hit too damn hard? Why not just buff the threat w/o HoA?
This feels like an oversight tbh. I wouldn't count on this remaining in the game for very long. I expect either:A) This is nerfed and tank threat remains unchanged. or B) This is nerfed and tank threat is buffed to compensate for the loss of the HoA.I know I have been having very little issue with threat on my tank, but that might be because im a paladin and we hit pretty hard right now. Very few mobs ignore me, until my fire mage friend pops combustion and takes ALL of my threat off of me cause he hits way to hard.
I am using Hearth of Azeroth but I am noticing is very hard to keep agro on my warrior. Specially against melee players, unless I throw spear of Bastion/Avatar. However with my monk i have no problem, just barrel/breath and everything sticks to me like glue.Tbh warrior needs more aoe threat, right now I am forced to spend rage casting a revenge to open the fight and apply deep wounds, and nothing assures me that I will maintain agro in time if I do not have a cd to increase my damage and even I have to throw one or two taunts in between.

I just assumed this was an issue with tanks not having much damage and having a AOE cap. Your 5 enemies might not be the same as the DPS 5 and therefore you need to target swap and get that aggro back.
I figured it was just a problem with beginning of the expansion gear being pretty weak.
Yup, this'll definitely be corrected somehow. Ideally they'd put a level cap on the threat bonus but it's more likely that they'll just remove it entirely even though that'd negatively affect players who are at or below 50.

Well this explains why I've seen more threat issues lately after I replaced my HoA. Even tab target hitting each mob, hitting with Avenger Shield + Divine Toll I was seeing some classes pull off easily, especially warriors.
Well, yes, but the “active” part of tanking changed from Wrath and prior being maintaining threat and passively tanking hits with your gear and stats making up the difference, to after where tank threat was a lot more passive and the active abilities being for active mitigation. Threats importance as a mechanic for tanks to worry about was reduced greatly until recently
