My most epic drop was when I finally killed the fourth demon to obtain Rhok'delar and Lok'delar. The quest was idiotic and tiresome, but it was totally, 100% worth it.
My third most epic loot was T7 helm from illidan, because i topped dps charts on it ^_^
-- Daddy's New Dancing Shoes --I must say, I have been playing WoW for almost 3 years. I raided Black Temple and Mount Hyjal on my Priest and got some decent Epic Lewtz but last night was probably the best and most frantic for me. I have been kinda in a funk lately and got back into it last week and have been playing catch up. Last night, I hit 80 and was invited to a Naxx Group. I figured, Okay I'll be alright, the gear is lacking but I can handle it. We were already into the Plague Wing and when we got to Heigen, we wiped the first two times because people couldn't handle the running. Well third time around, we started to get it, after the second rotation we lost two of our healers and I was the only one left. So I solo healed 4 other people and downed him and I was shaking the whole time while the rest of the guildies sat silently in vent watching. After the down, everyone was singing my praises ... and I am the new owner of a nice shiny new pair of dancing shoes ... Saltarello Shoes Thats my epic story and I'm sticking to it!
Halberd of Desolation
My first ever epic: http://www.wowhead.com/?item=870 dropped off a slime that jumped me in Dustwallow Marsh.
honestly the most epic thing I ever got was the firefly drop from the bugs in Zang:) i like it.
2nd Most epic drop for me was getting the Merciless casting staff about 1 week before Wrath and realizing I wasted a ton of honor on it.
Finally getting my Spirit of Competition pet from the Beijing Olympics event.
My Mature Blue Dragon Sinew.
An Epic battle i had recently...me and 3 other guildies were 4 maning ZG. Druid, Mage, War, and Resto Shaman (Me). Well we cleared everything to the Undead boss and then pulled him...right away it didn't look good. The Mage and Druid died real fast from the Mind Control confusion leaving me and the Warrior to duo it down.20 min and at least 30 Mind Control/sacrifices/running away from the boss, warrior, and many skellys later we got him down. Most fun I ever had in ZG.
One of the greatest epics i ever got was when i was with a group of real life friends in Zul'Farrak. I was afk with follow on one of them and when I came back i noticed everyone /roll'd besides me so I'm just like "uhh ok /roll" and i rolled a 91 and won.. i didn't even know what it was for but it turned out to be the Boots of Avoidance. Since this was my only character on their realm i was really happy to find out I could make some money from the auction house.. The real epicness though is the day after I got the boots. I was still in Tanaris so i decided to go quest and while i was killing at the pirate infested area Nightblade dropped. This made me freak out even more since Nightblade sells for almost 3x the amount Boots of Avoidance does. Then, even after that, I had a blue BoE drop for me every day after that for the rest of the week... What a week!
Hmm.. I guess my most epic item ever was back in Pre Burning Crusade. I recall my first ever Molten Core run on my warrior and i managed to snag myself the oh-so-gorgeous Obsidian Edged Blade!
After nearly a month of attempts on Lady V in SSC, and having got all my other pieces of T5, Oh how sweet it was to finally see those beautiful words pop across my screen: "Lady Vashj has been defeated." And behold! To the victor go the spoils.
