This thing spawned on top of two of us today and we were dead within seconds. When we came back, the thing was nowhere to be found. Didn't even have time to check the stats on it.

In order to attain badge quests(logistics, tactical, combat) from Windcaller Kaldon in Cenarion Hold, you need to take unsigned field duty papers from him and venture to one of two camps in Silithus in order to have one of the named NPCs there put their initials on them.

After reaching the camp belonging to your faction, you wind up having to fight a large insect. The Horde face off against this, an enormous Tunneler(?)-like mob, and the Alliance have to kill an Abomination, which is a huge wasp. It can be a tough battle, but you'll more than likely have quite a bit of help from other players looking to turn in their own quests, as well. This is a good thing, too, because the NPCs you've been sent to speak with are rather weak and need to be kept alive or else the quest fails.

As far as the bug featured here goes, it has a Thunderclap that deals decent damage(I think) and slows your movement, plus a nasty Charge that hit me for close to 1,000. Not sure if it's random or not, but it seemed to be. On top of this, the damn bug hits like a meteor, so be careful when dealing with it, especially if you don't have much player support around.

320Khp, 1000dmg on charge and damn thunderclap.

Managed to get him below 50% with just me and the NPC's(60 Lock) Next time will be a bit more rdy, just keep range and health stones and pots, threw infernal down at about 60% but that was all I had for mana and got charged right after so I was in piss poor shape.

I play a 60 elementalist mage, and I've managed to live through this fight solo many times, and died many times as well.

I've heard a lot of people say that Krug needs to live through the fight in order for you to get credit. I know it's not that simple, but it's a good rule of thumb - If you can follow it, you will get credit. On the other hand, I have seen Krug die, died myself, and come back to see the HK is dead, and then gotten credit from the resurrected Krug (he respawns immediately after the fight).

At 36 yards, he will not charge you just for casting spells; at that range, he'll only charge if you out-aggro the tank (be it krug or otherwise).

As a mage with no other player help, about 40% of the time (depending on what, I do not know), I can help them down the HK before Krug or enough NPC's die, and get credit. The rest of the time, Krug and the others die, then the HK dies, I live, and get no credit. By keeping 36 yards and just scorching, I can keep from getting aggro indefinitely. Getting closer and casting just about anything gets you attacked.

Apparently any healer who just keeps 36 yards and heals Krug can solo this encounter. For everyone else, getting close enough to bandage doesn't work because your bandaging is always interrupted.

Just attack till oom or whatever then sit out of charge range and let npcs kill him

it doesn't have a drop, that's why.

I've killed this twice ungrouped without dying and it never drops anything.
