Very easy boss, just have a good team two tanks, and all is good.

Hard boss to do if you dont have the levels for it. The simple strat for him is to have a tank and healer summon him in his room, and then kite him into the room where you faught the 4 stone npcs only a few minutes earlier. Fighting him this way stops him from summoning the Big elites near the end and just makes 1 mob run up at a time.

The above method works but is not needed to down him with almost any group. Just simply assign a rogue / hunter / paladin to killing the adds as they spawn, and when he's near 25% life and calls the elite adds everyone simply goes all in on the boss. When he dies, his adds die as well.

The major problem with Uldaman is that the beginning part of the Instance is much lower than the end part of it. The use of a backdoor halfway through the instance makes it pretty clear that Uldaman was supposed to be made for a Lower Level front run and then a Higher Level Back Run.

Archaedas is fairly easy to kill with an appropriate leveled group (level 43 or so members). He himself has a lot of HP and has high melee migation. He doesn't hit incredibly hard though.

He summons non-elite adds throughout the fight that have low HP and can be killed in a few hits. They will build up if you don't kill them quickly though so assign one of your members to killing them when they spawn (Rogue or Hunter if you have one as they will deal less damage to Arch as a Mage or Warlock).

Get him down to 20% and he will spawn 4 elite adds. These do die when he dies though so have everyone quickly DPS him down (make sure your warrior goes into battle stance and spams execute for even more damage). Once he's dead go into the room behind him for the Disks of Norragon for a quest line that will get you a 14 Slot Bag and a chest with 2-3 greens.

Another strategy that makes this boss very easy (laughable, even) is to have a member of your party (hunter, preferably, but the tank will do fine if you don't have one) kite him down to one room below his own room. It is the room where the 4 elite stone watchers spawn that blow up when they die. Fighting him there, the non-elite adds will slowly trickle in, making them extremely easy to kill. Also, when he gets to 20%, as pointed out by Tupac he will summon 4 elite adds. In most cases, these will never make it downstairs before you kill him. Hope that helps :)

You need at least 3 people to summon him. Tested this so you can't boost only 1 person unless you boost with 2 people.

The key to this battle is not so much to kill the others but to kill him. Use as few people as necessary to kill the small guys he awakens, and everyone else just focus on him, when he gets to about 50% health, he'll summon the 6 guys in the middle, keep someone tanking the Archaedas and kill the others as fast as possible, as soon as you do that, EVERYONE should attack him, at some point (not sure if it's right after the 6 guys die or at a certain health) he'll summon the 2 big guys. Ignore them and just finish off Archaedas. Once he's done the other two will go away.

You gotta try to make it a short battle, otherwise it will drain you.

you got almost to the end, the room with 4 statues, i presume.

have 3 people click the middle alter (like summoning someone with a warlock).

The first statue will begin to move. Kill him. Stay back when he dies, it is an AE explosion. Other three statues are the same. Now doors will open. You have to kill about 2-3 more groups of the small naked dwarves, then you're at the boss.

My recommendation : once the boss calls for the serious backup (when he's at about 25% health i think) and the larger statues from the sides and the 6 around him come to life, everyone concentrate on killing Archaedas. Once he dies, all the small statues will die too. Otherwise, it can be quite difficult to finish him off, and he will continue to bring small statues to life, which will use healing beams on him.

The statement that all in the group need to be 44+ is a bunch of bull. I've done this boss several times with groups of 40-44. All you need to do is have one person take down the mobs (they spawn one at a time, every ten seconds and die quick) and the rest on the boss.

When the boss summons the six black mobs, have the tank stay on the boss, but the other four revert to killing the black mobs - they also go down pretty quick but do high dps.

When the six black mobs are dead, put all back on the boss again except the guy taking the adds. Finally at 25% life, the boss will summon two elites. Put everyone on the boss (Mages and Rogues w/ high burst dps useful here) and the adds will all disappear when the boss goes down.

As i said, I took this boss down several times with group members all fairly low, but they all knew what they were doing. However, I also did this boss once with two lvl 50s in the group that didn't know crap. Each of those groups wiped.

Really anything above level 44 is too high, guys. When played at the correct level this is one of the best designed and most challenging encounters in the game - its really too bad designers couldn't put this level of thought into the level 60 encounters, because it seems the majority of players just level their way past the difficulty.

Funnest group was with a warrior, priest, mage, shaman, and hunter. I believe our levels were 44, 44, 43, 43, 41. Designate one player to control all the non-elite adds (preferably a rogue, we had to use a shaman). When the elites spawn just dps the boss down. If the non-elites are zerging the healers, this is the perfect spot for the warriors six-second aoe taunt followed by aoe attacks.

He's in the northeastern corner of the instance. Killed him pretty easily with:
45 priest (holy) (me)
45 warrior (arms)
45 mage (frost)
45 hunter (marks)
--- we all play in the same room, so that really helped with coordination

He spawns non-elites that hit hard every 10 secs or so - they have very little HP, so we just had our hunter keep them off me with the mage helping when needed. After a little bit he activates the five around him - nothing a little AoE couldn't handle.

At 50% health, he activates 2 elite golems - we just ignored them and focused on the boss, taking out nonelites as they came. Had to pop a mana potion - fight was challenging, but nothing a good group can't handle - I thought some of the pulls in the dungeon were harder than this.

i did this with a level <44 group. It is not difficult, just requires good teamwork. We had:
42 Warrior, 40/1 Warrior, 42/3 Paladin, 41/2 Rogue, 43 Druid (me).

The warrior and rogue levelled at the end of Archadeus ;)

I was tanking (feral), the warriors offtanked/dps'd, the rogue stunlocked/crowd controlled, and the holy pally healed.

It was quite amusing that we ended up having a hybrid class healing, a hybrid class tanking, and the two core class party members (warriors) dpsing. Especially when we downed every boss without any deaths!

The way we took Archadeus was using a tank rotation. We had the main warrior off-tank, tanking Archadeus while i healed the first section (until inner dwarves came). The rogue dealt with the adds, the most mana-efficient solution, and the pally just melee'd the boss (keeping his mana near 100% but using a little every now and then so he could use his mana as efficiently as possible)
When i ran oom the pally took over healing, and i feral charged Archadeus and took over tanking. The warriors kept 5 sunders up and dps'd as much as possible, and when the elite adds came, the warriors picked them up, brought them to where i was tanking Archadeus, then used Intimidation shout, whilst targetting Archadeus. They used each in turn, then the one who had both their aggro at the end of it used a swiftness pot and ran around the room, by this time the other 4 of us and successfully downed Archadeus and the adds despawned instantly.

The key is to use your classes well and use mana efficiently throughout the fight. For those without experienced players, you may wish to use mana pots for the healers and heal pots for the tanks in the Archadeus fight.

At the end the Archadeic Stone of Eluding and the Rockpounder dropped, i won both, and left a very happy NE =)

For all the questions of 'can I solo him?', the answer is actually NO.

In the leadup to Archaedas, there is a room with an altar that requires three people to touch at the same time...without doing so, you cannot open the doors leading to the last few pulls,a nd then to Archaedas' room. ;)

However, I can attest that it's fairly simple with just one 60, and two low level toons. We killed him with a 60 Paladin, 40 Warrior and a 30 Druid. I (60 Pal) tanked and healed, and it was simple.

Do not pull Archaedas into the room before, the three adds outside will flatten you, their armor is extremely high even with 5 sunders on, they hit extremely hard and have a lot of HP.

Just completed this boss with:
46 Shadow Priest
43 Rouge
50 Rouge
45 Shaman
It was hard and we didn't get him till the third try, but it IS possible. The biggest thing to worry about is making sure at least one person is designated to take care of adds and the boss has some dps on him. We made sure that the 50 kept up a constant expose armor and let our shaman take care of adds and help out with boss when possible. 43 rouge helped with adds when necessary, but stayed on boss mostly. Priest healed, obviously. Most important thing about this strategy is that the boss needs to go down before he wakes up and elites. If those wake up, everyone needs to focus on the boss 'cause if you can get him the elites will die too. Good luck with this guy, he's tough.

you can not pull him out side the room. because...

1. the mobs still get summoned and come running through the door

2. soon as he leaves the room the two elites out side get summoned

we didnt exactly have a low level group eather i was level 54 at the time going to see the enchanting trainer 44 war 48 priest 40 priest and 39 durid.

Here's some important points in beating him.

-Every 10 seconds a statue come to alive. They are a joke. Problem is with his summons. Know his summons are triggered by hp. I *think* it is 75%, 50%, 25%. This is the key point. Once you know this the rest are easy.

-With the above, after stating the summons are hp triggered, you should already know most of the trick to beating him - don't rush this! Kill the adds as they come. By doing this you've already won 50% of the battle; this is also the prime reason why there are level 50 people failing the boss and even with a level 60 (sad), because they didn't have a clue that the boss' summon is hp triggered, so they trigger all three summon within 30 seconds because they think they are dps hotshots, and wonder why they got overwhelmed by so many monsters. When the boss summons the two elites, don't bother with them, just aim for the boss.

-Conserve mana/cooldown. Don't blow all your mana getting the boss' hp from 100%->25% (which is when he summons his elites). Save most of your mana to take the boss' hp from 25%->0 in 15 seconds. Rogue evasion tanking really helps the two elites when attempting the final stretch.

-Build your group around dps. Your group will die horribly without this. This is the other 50% of winning the battle. There isn't much you can do without having consistent dps at the last phase of the boss. You will usually lose to the boss if you go attrition style. Boss+two elites is most likely going to kill you if you don't kill them in a timely manner.

All-in-all, he isn't that bad if you remember the points above.

This is an EVIL boss fight, but it's possible to do it on much lower levels than you'd think.

We just completed it - on the 4th try - with a 46 Mage, 46 Priest and 46 Warrior.

Tips and tricks for that:

1) You REALLY want an off-tank for this fight. Of course, we didn't have one. In that case, it's vital that the main tank hits the adds ONCE, to aggro them, and other than that keeps aggroing Archy - if he goes off the reservation and starts beating on your squishy cloth-wearers, it's game over. We then had our priest taking out the adds with Smite, and our mage DPSing Archy.

2) The adds, with the exception of the elites at the end, do indeed suck HP-wise. There's one point where 6 black adds spawn at once - three or four Arcane Explosions take them down nicely.

3) Obviously, all the preparation in the world helps. We were running Arcane Elixirs, Rumsey Rum, Sagefish, Elixir of Giants, Wizard Oil, and some other stuff I forgot. I also downed a Greater Stoneshield potion when the elites spawned (as the tank)

4) If you've only got one aggroer, your DPS MUST stop DPSing when the elites spawn, until the tank's got them under control. Otherwise, it's "chase the elites around the room and watch them beat on the mage" time.

5) The key point, in all - aggro management is key, and bloody hard. Second to that, the problem is resource management - keeping enough resources back that you can take Archy down in the last few seconds.

I'm totally hyper from adrenaline now.

I'm loving all the YOU CANT PULL him posts. Thats how ive killed him each time. draw him into the room where the 4 stone guys were, he cant summon his guys. Yes the gaurds outside are mean but have one pull arch down while the others kill off the two elites. Done easy with a 44 and lower group, i tanked at 44 with my warrior.

I just went in there with a full group of 45+ and 3 times in a row got our asses handed to us from the stone men that come after more than half way. At least yesterday I succed to kill him. It was my 3rd try.

The party was the following:
lvl 46 priest
lvl 47 paladin
lvl 40 warior
lvl 46 rogue
lvl 43 paladin (me)

It was realy easy.

The warior and the another pala tanked the big guy.
Me and the rogue took care the smalers.
Healer healed everybody, but the palys also helped him out.
When the boss summoned his 1st minions, the dwarfes, we, the cleaners tokk out them.
When the 2nd wawe of minions came, we all beated the boss, who died very easily.

The guy droped the Archeadic Stone. I rolled 6 on it, one guy rolled 2, 3 of us said need, so I was sure I lost it. But 3rd guy rolled 3, so i won. It was very fun.

Ok going to dispel some of the stuff people are saying here.

1. Adds do not come at a set rate like some are saying.

You start to fight him and he spawns one of the 40 by the door by firing a purple laser type beam at it. Have your people set on the adds watch for this and stand by the ones he's summoning.

You can have almost anyone tank Archaedes as he spends so much time talking and summoning minnions that he doesn't do much dmg. These adds come at a pretty set time but do seem to get faster as time goes by. We've goten up to about 20 spawned overall but never fell behind with anyone lv47+ on them. Each of the 40 is a lv45 non-elite.

At 66% of life left he summons all 6 of his men from the inner circle, they again are non-elite and pretty weak just have one of the people on adds take them off the cloth wearers. Keep your priest alive.

at 33% he summons 4 elite lv 47ish golems. These guys hit hard and are a pain to try and off tank. Simply put everyone on the big guy and burn him down when he's at 35%. You'll have him under 20% life by the time they are coming at you. As soon as he dies, so do all his minions. Have everyone go to him.

The only real way to fail this fight is to fall behind on adds so keep someone who does lots of melee DPS since casters run out of mana. You also can fail if the elites spawn and people aren't on the big guy. He's got barely any hp for someone his size. Just take him out fast.

Hope this helps I love this fight and if you're on stormrage give gawdz a tell. This is one of my favorite fights in the game.

P.S. those that tell you take him down slow are idiots. If you do 20k dmg in the first second he does not summon all 40 of his men at you. Hell we've killed him so fast he only got 2 of them and we never saw the wave of elites.

Tanked him as a Moonkin at level 46, around 4600 armor (had a Paladin with Devotion Aura). If I'd had the proper equipment on, my armor could've been over 5,000. Regardless, he wouldn't stop hitting me - I wasn't supposed to be the tank, but the other two meleeing (Warrior and Paladin) couldn't get him off me.

So what I found is that Moonkin is a great tank for him - good armor, and he wouldn't leave me the hell alone. How's that for aggro management?

I had been running ULDA so many times to get up to this guy, and finally my 4th time around, I was with a 60 warr and 48 hunt (I am a 42 enhance shammy), so when we get to him the hunter takes care of the adds and the warrior takes care of Archie. I was basically healing the crap out of them, and when I was oom and the warrior was just about dead, he executed and Archie fell to the ground, appalled. He dropped archaedic stone of the boar and I was very happy with that. i mean really, a ring that gives you armor! :P

with a group all under 50, 3 lvl 44s (priest, warrior, paladin), a lvl 42 (me, rogue), and a lvl 46 (mage). i'm a rogue so i went around and killed all of the little dwarves that popped up, killed the ones in his inner circle when they spawned if the ones on the outer edge weren't spawning, and when the 2 stone guardian golem guys spawned, all fighting focused on archaedas. slow the dps on archaedas, how fast he spawns things is based on how much health/how much damage is being done, the slower you kill him, the more time you have to kill the underlings. an archaedic stone of the owl dropped. we got our asses handed to us one time because we had alot of dps so the underlings spawned fast, and that wasn't bad until the end when they started to heal him. slow dps, and take out underlings. once the golems spawn, just attack archaedas.

We had a 45Rogue(me), 44lock, 43Druid, 44Shaman, 44mage. Me and the shaman took Archaedas. The Mage and the Lock Spammed AoEs on the Dwarves. Druid stayed back and healed. Other than the druid dying at the very end of the fight no one came near death at all.

I was in a party last night that lost twice to this guy. (Paladin, paladin, warrior, mage, hunter) We were getting discouraged when I made a suggestion. How about me and the warrior switch places? So I tanked the boss while the warrior helped deal with the adds. Worked like a charm. Problem we had before was the warrior would get killed because both pallys were distracted or just because we got stunned at bad times. With me tanking, I didn't need support because I can heal myself. Boss died in a flash, no casualties.

Warrior tank prolly works fine with a priest on hand but for a setup like this, a self reliant tank worked better.

This instance really is caek all the way..
You just need to know what you're doing (as in every other instance ofc). We almost managed all of if with a lowbie group of me at 45, a dru at 45, a hunter at 42, a priest at 41, and a warlock at 40 - we did NOT complete archaedas but tanking him was pickles.

Tip: you want a mage for Uldaman before a warlock.

this was one of the longest fights i must admit, but no one died. levels 40-45 in group. i, being the warrior, tanked him while some of the other group members beat the adds he summons. took forever but he dropped the stoneslayer, our pally was happy :)

Took him out with a low-damage party of 45 War, 46 War, 44 Pal, 47 Pal & 40 Dru. It was a long but generally amusing fight.

The first phase was trivial. I (45 warrior, protection) tanked Archaedas, the Druid kept me alive, the 46 warrior (arms build with 2-hander) ran around bashing the small Earthen and the Paladins kept the Druid & Arms warrior healed while beating on Archaedas. This all went very smoothly, every single caster was at full or near-full mana when he activated the 6 central peons.

When phase 2 started I grabbed the nearest 3 peons, the other warrior grabbed the 3 near our druid and everyone but the druid & I focused entirely on /assist-training through the peons. Once they were all dead we went back to the phase one strategy.

When the 2 constructs were activated I just taunted both onto me and kept them there - I could basically ignore Archaedas at this point due to previous threat buildup - while everyone else went on as before. The druid did start to lose mana during this due to the extra damage I was taking from the constructs, but we killed Archaedas long before she ran out and the paladins had to take over.

It took us a good 4-5 minutes to finish the fight, but no one was ever in any danger. If your party is higher on damage and lower on survival you might want to go for just nuking past the later parts but the fight is perfectly doable without any heavy artillery whatsoever.

Dude this guy iza b-tch to take out his adds are the gayest thing ever! i had a 60priest me(44shaman) a 46warr a 43rogue and a 46druid, our "plan" however sucked ballz(just wail on archaedas) however he was at half health when warr lost aggro to healz and we died .... sadly i never finished this instance. Next time i do this crappy instance im going /w my hunter so i can use grimloks charge and other crap that drops XD if it werent for his adds wed of had him EZ. But i guess thats what makes the instance L337

The best way to deal it, is to start summoning him, and when he starts to crumble, run for the upper floor (the one with another summoning table where 4 elementals appear in order). That way when he summons his helpers he does it slow, so really a few come up to help him (instead the whole army you can see downstairs).
You can't not kill them, because even if they disappear after you kill Archa, they can heal him, making your killing more difficult. Anyway they die easily. So, having a hunter is a good option since with 1 single multi shot, generally, they die. And since they come 1 by 1, from time to time, as a hunter you always have your multishot up!

Had a group with a 44 pally(me), 44 mage, 49 rogue, 44 warrior and 46 rogue. I was the healer and myself and the mage died to his friends but he did die and dropped the rockpounder which I won over the warrior so it was worth it.

Jesus, two men activate the altar while the rest wait up stairs, when he starts crumbling run as fast as your highlander plate greves can carry you back to them, then sunder the monstrosity and beat the hell out of him, his adds wont even come upstairs, well maybe a few, but this is real easy pickings, everything went smooth till our goddamn priest healer needed the ring, i mean jesus christ

60 hunter (me), 44 mage, 44 lock, 39 pally.

Got him to like 10% hp the first time. My pet was tanking him. Second time, I soloed this behemoth while they others killed the adds. (Like they really helped) They died when he was at like 15% health. I used feign death , and let the pet take the aggro. I got up and QUICKLY piled on DPS before I took back the aggro. My pet died, I killed him while he was still rushing at me. Dropped- Stoneslayer- They let me have it for doing most of the work in killing him.

i was in a group with lvl47- and beat him 1st try, he dropped stoneslyer, i won roll because i rolled 93, but other guy got it b/c my invent was full. now i'm trying again, 3 times , with two lvl52s, and died everytime. wat am i doing wrong?

We pawned em with only a 58 priest a 45 warrior a 42 hunter and me 52 warrior he dropped the Rockpounder! We were doin good the 58 priest died he was soo close then i heroic striked em and i won the mace! I am so happy.

Got him to 2% hp last night with me (43 Dru for tank) 44 priest, 42 rog, 48 rog and a 46 balance druid. We could have done it but it was our first attempt and I had to go to work in 90 mins and had to jet. Will know better for next time to have me tank him solo ( just priest healing ) and have others do adds. So This fight is doable in low to mid 40's but it lots of fun :)

The "plan" we tried was"
Myself and the 48 rog on the boss with priest for healing me and other rog and dru for adds. However I see that the problem was i was holding aggro too well and the 48 rog was going all out on him so we has tons of adds at once. Slower would hav ebeen much better. He (boss) hits hard but slow and does lots of blabbering.

Main tank on him, as you take him down he summons the little peons around him, they have about 325hp take him down slowly and he only summons one at a time.
when he gets to about 50-60% life he summons the 6 in the center they hit hard and its AOE but same HPsas peons 1 mortar shot from a goblim mortar is enough to take them down. (have the priest heal and pull agro and put up a shield while the mortar is fired)
then have the tank really slow down the attacking till all the peons are done with. after they are all gone unload on him. he will call the two vault keepers to help him. ignore them (w/o dying) and kill him. they have ALOT of HP's and armor.
If you kill main guy the two adds dissappear. and you can go on in to the vault.

I always get a kick out of the "you have to have a " party makeup last night we killed dude with 3 mid 40's hunters a warlock and a preist...Archaedas died as a result of pet attacks and DOT's...everybody else just shot the adds and the healer kept pets alive, amazing how the standard party mold can be broke if ya use a good plan

Guys this boss is soo easy if u do it rite. Just clear the chamber above where u activate the 4 stone guardians. Work ure way done to him and then wen u enter his room, let 2 ppl go back up to the chamber above. Then activate him and run up to the top. It takes the mobs soo long to get up to you that the elites ddnt even make it. Just put a dps on the adds mage is best and every1 else kill him. Did with a lvl 44 ish grp only 5 mobs made it to us. Easiest run ive done.

Easy encounter. any full group in 40's should be able to handle it.

Tactics are really simple: Main Tank engages Archaedas, and everybody else engages the peons around. At times you'd need AE so a Mage is a good choice, but you don't HAVE to have a mage to finish this encounter.

I've now taken him down 6 times in the past few days and have yet to see a ring. Each loot is stoneslayer or rockpounder. Has anyone else noticed this?

we, a group of:
me, lvl 47 warrior, 44 hunter, 43 mage, 41 priest, 43 shaman didn't succeed in killing him :/ we wiped 5 or 6 times, then server restarted... best attemt was at like 5% (hasn't got mod for it so i'm not sure) and I think we had made it then if I had made an execute or someting :/ maybe tomorrow.....

Took him down first time. 45 warr, 47 feral druid, 46 shadow priest, 43 rogue, 45 hunter. I (warrior) tanked Archaedas throughout the fight, and so did all the damage to him. Everyone else took care of the adds, except the priest who was busy healing.

Dropped the one thing I didn't want. :(

this guys is the coolest,i was lvl 46 warrior and i was with my raid ( 2 warlocks, 2 paladins, 4 priests 4 mages :P) he dropped alot of green, but i was really hoping for that bloodrazor :P

didnt get it but my raid was happy with this guy. all those trash mobs pised everyone off, but with a little dragging and shouting it went pretty well :D

definetly face this guy and get that blood razor :P

Did it the "hard way" today, 2-3 mins encounter (probably less).

Priest 49&48, Hunter 55, Rogue 50, Paladin ? (<50, maybe 48).

DoT Archa, Bomb him, high DPS all the time. ignore any adds. Now its a priest problem: Fade. priest 1 heals priest 2, peons run around like crazy hitting priests. if possible and necessary, healed our members.

ok, that poor holy priest died.. angel came and healed us :D i stopped healing and bombed archa.. i had about 150 HP left.. BOOM archa is dead. res, done.

Okay, that was luck, but we did it. And it was fast. Funny guy :D

3-manned him, 48 feral druid, 44 holy paladin, 50 hunter (myself). It was actually really fun to take him down with such few numbers, and I'd recrommend doing it this way to anyone looking for an extra thrill. We wiped twice trying to figure out the strategy for the elite adds, and we all started working on one level earlier (all three of us dinged during the fights). We've done it twice now and plan to do it again and fraps it for fun.

Basically, we had the paladin tank and ONLY cast healing spells on himself and throw blessings when needed. He crit healed so much that he replenished his mana whenever he full-healed. (Therefore, a holy paladin might be a requirement.) The druid and I took care of the little nekkid earthen whenever they popped. If the pally's health dipped a little low, the druid gave him a heal and had to use one innervate on him during the course of the fight. We used bandages otherwise.

Whenever Archaedas shouts during the middle about 'assisting their master', that's when I laid an explosive trap at his feet. This grabbed the attention of all six of the inner ring, non-elite earthen so they wouldn't beat on the paladin.

When it gets down to maybe 4-5 non-elite earthen left, I started going all out on Archaedas while the druid (and my pet) worked on what was left.

Here's the fun part. When he summons his two elite stone guardians, the paladin bubbles to drop aggro and the druid picked up tanking Archaedas. With a stone guardian on the pet and the pally (just to keep them off of the druid), we plugged away until he died. Only casualty was my poor snakie.

Two out of three of us have some nice new rings. :) Going back for more.

We took him down with 2 warriors, 1 priest, 1 warlock, 1 mage. The main tank takes on the big guy and what is most important is the tank to do as little damage as possible to him. This means more time to kill the peons he animates. It is a cakewalk until the two elites are animated then the real fun begins. We did not turn on the big guy because sometimes the adds do not despawn when he dies. The elites will go after the highest treat level which will be the healers. It is up to the secondary tank to get aggro fast. In the fight we had the priest died but rezzed back with a soulstone, which saved the fight. The mage died next but managed to kill one of the elites.

DId it with a moonkin druid and a bunch of others.the moonkin summoned treants and beat the crap out of the big guym while one hunter was taking up the adds. everyone ( except the healer ( me) and the hunter killing adds) was dpsing the boss, meaning we got his health down to 33% in like 2+ mins, and when the elites came, lock got Voidy to tank the elites and even me as the healer went shadow and attacked the boss. dead in 15 secs.

BTW the add die after the boss dies, so mabbe someone could try a rush of EVERYONE attack the boss only.

I helped some guild mates with my lvl 60 warrior. We were to quick in killing him before his adds all had spawned, Because of that the late adds did not despawn because he was already dead, we had to kill them and then were locked in the room and had to teleport out of there - could not even get to the quest in the room behind.

In WotLK this is soloable, click the center interactable and wait until the stone guardians start attacking, the door will open once all 4 are killed.

Our party was 2 x level 44 rogues (I was one), 1 x level 41 priest, 1 x level 41 paladin, and 1 x level 43 mage.

The fight began and... a problem: the pally was too low level to tank. I had immediate and sustained aggro. I had to tank!

When the heals slowed I used my Evasion and popped a health pot to give the priest some respite. I hope he chugged a good pot!

Later I had to pop my Lesser Stoneshield Potion. I do alchemy and at this level the potion is a game changer. After this wore off I manged to drop threat momentarily. Was it a feint or maybe a succession of crits from the other rogue I don't know? But luckily I was able to bandage for several seconds before interrupted.

While this was going on the mage and priest (smite) were tasked with the pesky adds. The other rogue with dps and to take over from me when I vanished just before my HP ran out.

Towards the end I got one last heal from the priest (a huge one) and then that was it for him.

Neck and neck for diminishing HP, a race to the bottom. I threw a final Vanish but left it too late and was dead. The pally had been long gone, the mage too. The priest and remaining rogue finished him off.

A miracle fight. The ring drop was less than optimal for all although that 50 stamina is very nice for any class. So we all agreed to need, lol. A job well done by us all. An epic fight!

I have had so many epic battles in this dungeon. Fights just don't work like this in retail WoW, due largely to the skewing nature of heirlooms I suspect. This fight in particular will be one I long remember. Classic for the win!

(Yes the stoneshield has a 2 minute CD only so I should have started with it so a SECOND use could have occurred. Wiser in hindsight for sure. But in the heat of the moment this was what we spontaneously did, with the only plan being for the other rogue to take over from me as late as possible as we can only vanish once. We were desperately thinking on our feet, having wiped quite a few times that night)

This can be soloed in wrath classic.

Just click summoning stone wait littlebit.

Do not kill boss too fast. You need to kill adds that he summons at 75% and 50% and 25%. What i did was unequip weapons then hit boss to 75% killed few adds. Then hitted boss 50% and waited him to summon adds, killed them. Hit boss to 25 % kill 2 adds. Then kill boss. If you do it too fast then you will fail achievement have to reset instance and try again.

Very difficult in begin of P2 of SoD, because caster will always miss the boss.
We had a tank pala, heal priest and two hunter (and one boomie with almost no damage due to cast miss).

We activated the stone and pulled the boss right away out of the room one room above. It seems that you don't get the 4 small elite there. Every small add was taunted by the pets and be cleaved.
After around 20% he spawned the big elite adds that can be tanked by the pets so we're be able to finish the boss and get the quest for Thawpelt Sack.

Did it for 5 minutes with party:
Warlock Tank
Priest Heal
Arms Warrior(but it can be any other melee)
Feral Druid
Melee hunter
DPS composition is more important, than tank/heal
Mechanics:
- He spawns a Shadowforge Relic Hunter in spawn room(where we clicking stone) that run to us. They had low hp but high level, that can be easily kill a healer.
- In 33% he casting spell, that spawn 2 elite Stone Keeper in spawn room that also run to us.
- Periodically he stuns players who stay closer from him
How we kill him:
- We kited them to Obsidian Sentinel room(where mage quest and side portal).
- Healer stays behind party and further from boss(to avoid stun), so Shadowforge Relic Hunter can run through melee and easily be killed from melee.
- Party need to burst boss after 33%. If Stone Keeper came - that means wipe
- Tip for warlock tank: Use 10/21/0 build(Suppression, Improved Life Tap, 3/5 Improved Drain Life and Demonic Sacrifice), rune: Master Channeler, Metamorphosis, Shadow and Flame, Everlasting Affliction, Dance of the Wicked. Sacrifise voidwalker. Get uptime Corruption, Curse of Recklessness and Drain Life on boss.

We get two 14-slot bag from chest, not considering 14-slot bag from quest
