Very rare spawn that appears in the Graveyard section of the Scarlet Monastery. He usually appears in a masoleum on either side of the main path through the actual graveyard if he does spawn.

Ironspine, and the other rare elites associated with SM Graveyard are tricky to get to spawn. While they CAN be there for the initial spawn, it seems very unlikely that they will be.

The three rare elites are:

You can easily run through the instance to the graveyard to see if they are there and if not, reset. However, there is another way to cause them to respawn. There are several spawn points in the graveyard where the elites can spawn, basically anywhere you see a SINGLE undead rather than a group, an elite has a chance to spawn there.

To get them to spawn, simply kill every isolated undead mob, you can leave the groups of wanderers. These mobs will respawn every 10-15 minutes, and it appears that every respawn has about a 5% chance of being one of the rare elites.

From what I can tell, after either Ironspine or the Fallen Champion spawn, no more rare elites will spawn. That means you'll have to reset after either of them spawn.

I just killed him today he was in right side of the graveyard near the right little middle crypt. he dropped the shroud but it is Bind on pickup now :(

Random spawn all over the grass in the courtyard in the graveyard. Spawns about 10% of the time.

The sword's Item level is 35...not the required level...the required level is 30...and Morbid Dawn is a damn good sword for a level 30 to be packing. All he keeps dropping for me is the damn shroud and gloves.

Went soloing into the SM cemetary area specifically to find the Fallen Warrior and other elites (for treasure.) I started on the right side by the crypt (where everyone says he spawns) but didn't see him. After sneaking around the back of the open-aired cemetary area I started coming back down the left side and sure enough, there he was. He was located on the left side in the open little area between the crypt and the stone-floored area kind of in the front of the left side. For a level 40 rogue, he was a super cinch to kill. Dropped Morbid Dawn 2-hander.

I tried to get the shroud for my warlock to wear, and in doing so found a way to get the rare spawns to pop. In the graveyard there are about 5-7 place holders for these guys. The following steps require either
1) an alt high enough to kill spawns here.
2) a patient lvl 60 friend.
3) a patient group of 30s.

Keep killing any mob in both of the mausoleum structures in the grave area of the instance. After they die, another mob will move from its spot in the dungeon to the exact spot. If you keep doing this and wait for respawns, eventually a rare will spawn. Granted, this does take some time but it's much easier than sneaking in and checking for spawns.

I used my 60 rogue to farm the placeholders and when a rare popped, asked a friend to come hold the instance, log on my alt, and have them kill it. That's the longwinded way I got my shroud.

i have spent 3 hours in graveyard and keep killing the mobs there for fallen champion, but he didnt spawn, no spawn even normal mobs... any suggestion or method for summon him?

I cleared the place 2 times (cleared once, went afk for a while, cleared all respawns) and then I noticed this guy walking around.

This dude spawns in several places in the graveyard (Note: IN the grave yard area not where the soldiers are at the begining)

He drops monstly The Vise thing
But he recently dropped the boots along with them.

So... yeah... Stay off my shoes lol

i soloed this guy as a 32 druid, trying for the gloves. got the shroud instead, which will be nice for healing for a couple levels. he's extremely easy to kill, slightly easier than the unnamed 33 mobs in the area. cat-heal-bear ftw.

edit: don't try to solo the haunting phantasms untill you've got a few levels on them. they summon obnoxious adds.

I found him on my first run in the graveyard. Im a lvl 35 hunter now and he looted gloves:) He was on the righthand side.

on the right side, outside of the crypt. he dropped the sword :)too bad it's bind on pickup. could have gotten a pretty penny for this baby in the AH.

He moves around the graveyard, so he's not really anywhere. atlas says he is at the end; i dont know if he ever goes there, i assume he does, but ive never seen him there. but ive seen him on the left, and apparently he shows up at the end and on the right too.

so dont just check one spot and then assume he isnt around: he DOES move around.

A pair of friends and myself have taken to 'Instance Testing' lately (running instances and the lowest threshold we think we can manage), and came across Fallen Champion on the first try.

Started off with a level 28 Priest, level 30 Mage and 32 Warrior. After finding that Ironspine dropped a nice mail vest and the Sleepless dropped a nice pair of cloth leggings, we took to farming them.

After 32 runs, we've found the Sleepless 5 times, and the Fallen Champion 12 times within the last two days, Ironspine only once.

Our levels are now 31, 34 and 35.

Fallen Champion usually drops the Ebon Shroud (Cloth Caster Hood), which has dropped seven times, and sometimes the Sword, three. He's dropped the gloves only twice, all items are BoP.

He looks like an Undead wearing a Scarlet Crusade set (plus Herod's Helm). Also, he has appeared in a variety of places;

- The left and right-hand-side crypts half-way through the GY area;
- At the back of the graveyard (near the Bloodmage Crypt), both left and right side
- Either side of the Graveyard entrance (after you exit the torturer lair).

If you're careful, you can usually pull him without bringing other mobs. From my experience, he doesn't auto-pull mobs with him.

Out of all the rares we've found so far, Fallen Champion seems to be the most common (for us). And he's not difficult, either.

Joined a GY group today 12/6. He was in the open area, toward the left, and dropped the gloves (ebon vise). Shaman was the only leather-wearer in our group.

even though the rare spawns didnt spawn, they can still spawn in the future. there r 6 spots where they can possibly spawn. and in order for them to respawn all 6 must be killed. they will respawn exactly 15min after the last spawn, and will all spawn at the exact same moment

Inside the two side crpyts are spawn points are 2. An other is southwest corner of the graveyard, the most southwest spawn. The crpyt that leader to under ground go down they stair and the bottom of the first flight of stairs is one spawn point(the first hallway u hit when underground). these last two r very confusing so read very closly. On the south side between the crpyt and the fence area to the east of the crypt is one spawn(within that little area is 3 spawns, kill the one most southeast within that area). On the north side Between the crpyt and the fenced of area to the west before it rises is one.(Within this area, again, are 2 spawns and another who will roam among the graveyard and is in that area ocassionally, kill the one most Northeast within that area.)

If u r confused on the spots, just remember: if u every see and Unfettered Spirit alone that is a rare spawn spot. if in a group of 3 spirits, can not be a rare spawn spot. its the guy roam among the graveyard, then he is not a rare spawn point.

Now i have been told that non of the rare spawns, spawn after ironspine or Fallen champion have spawned, so will have to reset, im not postive of that but keep it in mind.

there is bout a 5% chance of a rare spawn spawning in the specific area

It wasnt that hard for me. It took me from 3pm till 9pm to get him to spawn, but he dropped Morbid Dawn first try. :) Good day. The first time I ran it, I found Ironspine , and he dropped the ring.

found him on maybe my third run?
stealthed through to the fountain and spammed my /target <rare spawn> macros
even though i didnt get to ambush or cheap shot this guy, beat him easily, had to use one greater healing pot and evasion, rest was simple with kidney shot and stuff :D

I was with my 51 warroir farming the Graveyard for that I could send to my alt....well i got my silk and i did 15 runs and the Fallen Champion didnt spawn once.

Anyways you guys are dumb. The fallen champion dosnt show up after killing mobs and you dont have to kill the bloodmage guy to find the fallen champion. I found him by the big tree. He was the frist creep i killed in the undead part. So if u want to find him just keep on doing the instanz again and again. Plus if u do find him hes ezy to kill. (i owned him solo)

kill all the mobs over and over as they spawn till he spawns or another rare named azshir the sleepless spawns, i believe only one of them will spawn at one time. after you kill one or the other then you can reset the instance and do it again.

This is a cut'n'paste for all 3 rare spawns in SM Graveyard.

There are 6 rare spawn points in the graveyard. All 3 houses (bloodmage house spawn point is at bottom of the first flight of stairs). The raised section SW corner. 2 either side of the main pathway next to each house.

Basically if you ever see a single fettered spirit instead of the normal 3 spawn...that's a rare pop point.

All 3 rares can pop at any of the 6 points as far as I can tell but won't respawn until all 6 have been killed (add standard 12-15 min spawn time after last mob death) This means the bloodmage doesn't need to be killed.

If either Ironspine or the Fallen Champion spawn the repop ends and the zone must be reset to continue.

Rare pop chance seems to be about 5%
Fallen Champion pop chance 20%

When you said you can make him spawn Midnightdragons by killing everything over and over, do you mean just repetitively kill it all and go back to that spawn point and he will be there eventually, or do you mean kill your way in and if he isn't there run out and reset the instance and run back in and look again?

I found the Graveyard, killed a few things, entered the bloodmage tomb and there he was! I killed him (by the way I think he is only rare not elite) and he dropped Morbid Dawn (arrrrgh! I needed the shroud) but still I sold it 1g to the merchant.

Soloed Fallen Hero at Sm graveyard, lvl 39 pally 2007 health. ended up with 1493 without heals..

Dropped Embalmed Shroud (useful for me), 1x Silk Cloth, 5 silver, 1x Stone Club.

Nice head for its lvl :O

I was talking to Herod at this party using an aspect and i said, "what? You gonna just let this guy go around and call himself the Champion?" and Herod, who was equally drunk (and he's a big guy) said something vile about his lineage and proceed to bash his chest in. Now he calls himself the fallen champion but Herod and Mograine are ok with that.

he spawns in the graveyard/dungeon (easiest) SM instance.

after the open courtyard area, he spawns right at the bottom of the stairs in the first hallway of the crypt

he's is a rare spawn but you can make him spawn by just killing every mob in the cemetary over and over, he poped in the crypt building to left of the main open crypt.

I snuck past all the beginning guards, and used distract on a couple until I got to the Graveyard itself.

I soloed this guy as a 36 Rogue, I used evasion to be safe.

I got the gloves on my first try, now I just have to luck out and get Ironspine on my next try at a rarespawn(I was grinding in the instance for 54 minutes, before he spawned)

I'm wearing mostly blue str+agi+stam gear, I have 1631 HP, and 305 AP(That's with my new gloves <3).

He did not drop anything when i soloed Graveyard >.< Damn, not even a green drop! only some stupid silk that i can buy In AH for 30s! O.O From now on, I hate this guy...

Spawn commonality is something like this: Sleepless>Fallen>Ironspine
If your loot is from Sleepless, go ahead farm it. If from Fallen Champion, it's a bit tough. If waiting for Ironspine, it's probably not worth to farm it.
