This is the guy that spawns for the quest "You Are Rakh'likh, Demon" Contrary to popular belief, you CAN use more than 5 people to kill him for this quest. All you have to do is party with a group, teleport up there via the NPC, then the quest holder jumps down, parties with another group, and ports up there again. Just make sure that everyone that needs the quest is in one party, and that someone in that party gets the tag on Razelikh.

-Opened Ravage, Charm, mangle 2x, FBite
-He summons
-Killed the in a few mangles and Fbite...headed down mountain CAREFULLY. (charm had worn off)
(biggest pain was not running too fast in cat to get falling damage, and then put enough distance to get time to heal but not too far he runs back up)
-Minor healing
-Bear form getting between him and side you came down so he punts me up the hill...he'll follow up then back down as I slowly (annoyingly) glided back down.

Rest of the battle was played by ear.
Frez Reg/ barkskin / waiting for trinket to cool. Ended up fighting him on the face of the mountain (very awkward him up the slope and me able to get no closer than just barely in melee range.). Think I resisted all mana burns and he wasted some of them when I was feral. Did not have the luxury of placing myself between him and the mountain again...damage coming in too quick. I did not get punted a second time (not sure if he does).

For the final 25% I used all my mana making sure I was HoT'd and FullHp. Trinket had cooled the 3rd time (allowed for extra healing time after second use of barkskin wore off) and finished in bear form...for some reason last 5% I could not hit him easy at all...not sure why (he turned red).

Also note he did not do his second summon I have read about.

Ended up with 33% life and 25% mana... I was 60% health when I had him down to 5% - think 2k hp. Thought I was going to lose on the last strokes

You have to have done the series and have the item on you which allows you to teleport to him by standing on the symbols on the ground. No item means you cannot reach him.

i was in a group that tried to take him on, you can summon as many people as you need up to the mountain top or carefully bring him down to the valley. elixirs of demonslaying will probably help

He is kitable for a hunter with no special tricks or pots. His run speed is VERY slow so cheetah is more than enough. To kite him, first port up and find the best way down losing the least amount of health. I was able to get down losing about 1500. While kiting him down the mountain make sure and stop to rank 1 arcane shot him.

You cannot sting him, so just turn around and auto shot, and use arcane shot to keep aggro if you haven't hit him in about 6 seconds.

One word of caution. If you get within 15 yards, he can stun you with some sort of cast. Just stay far away, not hard to do.

Simply kite him to stonard, and then run around the town while the guards kill him. Make sure to shoot him every once in a while.

I didn't use MultiShot because I didn't want to run out of mana. The fight takes about 15-20 minutes, so just be patient :)

I tryed kiting him but he just stoped at a sertone distance i dont think kiting works any more. He just stopes and goes back to top of mount

Conctrary to what some people say, it is possible to pull him to the bottom of the mountain. Jus hust have to make sure to hit the platforms and to continue hiting him all the time or he will evade bak to the top.
With my Hunter i ported up there, called him, dorpped to the 1. platform(the one with the rune that ports you back) and feigned death. Then I stood up, waited until cooldown was off etc. and sent my pet up to pull him. Yes, your pet can walk these steep slopes. When it got aggro I called it back, the demon following it. Then I shot the shot which makes aggro (damn... forgot the name) and an arcane and kittet him this way down the mountain. One platoform down, aggro-shot, and arcane. another step, aggo and arcane. At the base i was nearly dead but my gropu managed to keep him alive until i had recovered my corpse. Easy ^^. Als, a paladin in my gorup treid again and again to pull him down and eventually mad it but I have no idea how because I really don't know the paladin class ^^.

I don't recall how much he hit for, but I had a mod running that estimated his maximum health at 30k.

you're gonna want all 5 possible people. I tried it with 4 very good guildmates of mine (group was 60 pally, 60 rogue, 60 mage, 60 mage, 60 Druid) and we got crushed. We haven't gone back yet for a second try.

how did you get up there i cant find the altar, i assume its on the top, but i dont know.

Quest says to use some amulet and a portal, but that summoning thing i cant equip, nor do standing on any of the portals transport me up there

Any suggestions ?

have anyone with the quest port to the top summon and aggro, then all they have to do is keep the aggro to the first ledge, there the hunter can send their pet up and grab the aggro, when he has the pet as his main target, put the pet to passive and it will run down the hill, with an active aggro spell, growl. this works 100% of the time because the pet can run up/down the cliffs without taking any injury

Well, made it another shot, now im 56. This time mage fire/arcane specc. Blue.
Full judgement paladin. specc unknown.
Druid,blue, resto specc.
Priest full epic tier1/2

It went well, until the first summon, then we got some problem, but we made it until he made the other summon, then he pushed down are mt, the druid, at this moment all had full hp. Then i started to have problems tanking him and the summon, so he kills me and priest , then there is a druid that cant fight and the pala with no mana and ½ hp left. we wiped.

AND, he is immune to frost and fire spells, so mage can only arcane explosion and Arcane missiles. I dont now if im gonna try again, so hard.

Made it now, very easy if you have hunter in the group ^^

This guy is hard, very hard. Me 55 warrior, and my friends 60 warrior with full valor, a 60 priest full epic, with 3-4 tier 2s, and another priest with 4-5 tier 1s. It was relative easy until he summoned a the 60 elite, then the priest got oom and we wiped, we took him to 40-50 procent, very hard fight.
I would say that a druid is good here, for tanking the summon and they can heal aswell when the priest get oom.

Hits a lot with shadow dmg, sometimes AoE! (highest was 1900+ single hit on me). Is immune to magic (sheep, etc.) Wasn't even able to put a pala debuff on him :(

We died 2 times. All 60 (3 pala, mage, warlock). Friends even died with a 10 ppl group because of his knockback. Pull him down the hill (hunter/pala with shield). Addons are crap, off-tank them single.

The most important thing you can say about battling Rakh'likh is that THE FELBANE WORKS. Even though it says "the servants of Razelikh" it works against him too. He's well nigh impossible without. So drag out your sword/staff/whatever (hope you didn't sell it) and let rip. He summons two adds in the course of the fight - they are marked as 60E but are pushovers.

Well, party Hunter 62 Bm, hunter 64 MM, Warlock 62 Demonolog kill with with some problems. I mean every1 die but i ress with SS and 1 hit him :P

Took him tonight with 2 lv 60 hunters, lv 56 hunter lv 60 Druid, and 60 lock (imp) without a sweat. Only 1 lv 60 hunter with any tier gear at all and only one epic between all of us. Pets tanked him on top of mountain and with new arcane damage of hunters (patch 2.0) took him down fairly quickly (30300HP), and took adds after for good measure.

Manaburn a problem towards end of fight OOM. No pots used during fight but mana pots would be good for hunters/casters, just used standard druid buffs. Knockback not an issue - FD to lose aggro, pets bounce well.

Wiped with only 4 people first time and had to take down Ilifer twice as he was waiting for us on second teleport up. Razelikh the Defiler had depoped (if you wait about 15 mins between teleports up the mountain) but his henchman will be waiting for you if you rez. Also the "person talking to ghost" you will summon your group from anywhere in the zone to top of mountain and if they aren't expecting it i.e afk they can get rather pissed off lol.

Only lost our 56 hunter after Raz' died as he chose not to FD.
Forgot to use felsalve or special weapons from previous quest, so prolly not needed for last boss
About 13G as reward if lv 60, plus gear. T'was fun.

This guy is real tough and plays dirty...

we got killed 3 times by this bugger, first, we were confident with demonslaying potion, agility, strength etc, mana burned my companion, beated me to death when he summoned the dark knight.

Second time, same potion and scroll cocktail, we managed to control some of the mana burn and then after he summoned his dark knight, this time i got him and i was steadily driving him out... he plays dirty with a slow motion kickback that sent me out of the mountain since we were staying apart to prevent the mana burn, he killed my companion, and when my companion went up to rez killed me again.

Third time real pissed, we thought that dragging him down so we can control the mana burn and the kickback, everything was going fine, got the dark knight, survived the kickback and managed to control the aggro, my healing companion was not being burned, till he summoned another demon friend who's a big DPS hitter, went fast to my companion, i had to get close to him to drag this new bastard's aggro, both cheating demons mana burned my companion to death, i die too.

We weren't giving up and i was real pissed that he kept pulling tricks, same plan we ran out of potions and scrolls so this time well fed and some minor scrolls and stuff, this time we dragged all the way out to Nethergarde Keep... he was 1/3 health when we arrived at the gates, he summoned his friend, the guards got him, somehow he got away the demon killed me, my druid companion managed to rez me while she was being beaten by the summon, i grabbed the aggro back, i got healed, jumped over the demon again, and suddenly they were both dead... thanks to the Nethergarde Keep Guards (lvl40 to 50), and noone died :)

i solo kited this guy. takes a bit of work but isnt impossible. drag him to darkshire and use building obsticles to run away from him. when he drops to mana burn get out of range and when he comes running at you, get an auto shot off and serpent sting if you want.

kite him to darkshire with rank 1 arcane shot.

when the adds spawn they run as slow as raze so they wont be a problem. when i kited him there were 60's waiting on ZG to happen so i got a little help with the adds but they arent a problem.

the way i kited him was around the building right next to the flightmaster and through the gryphons. cut corners as much as possible so he wont mana burn you and daze you.

if you are a druid you can kite him to stormwind and keep him in trade district keeping tap. the guards and players will make quick work of him.

Did this solo as level 70 undead WL with Felguard, used heal potion, healthstone and a bunch of bandages, along with aggro reduce trinket.
Use a wand (not shadow or fire) to shoot at the demon than let your pet tank him and just heal the pet.
Nuke the adds when they show up, soulshatter if you get aggro.
Razelikh will do kind of a knockback at some point after yelling something, be sure to stand in front of him then, as it will reduce aggro just like wingbuffet and your felguard probably will lose aggro permanently.
Pay attention to the position of the demon and make sure to have enough space left behind you when you get the knockback so you won't be knocked off the mountain.

My guild Moon Refugees took a 5 man group consisting of a warlock and various others. We dropped all but a warlock and 2 others and summoned 15 guildees. We then regrouped with the 5 who had the quest and easily kicked his tail.

Some things to know:
When you tell the wraith that "we" want to go up to face Razelikh, your entire party (dead or alive) will be ported up if they are even remotely nearby. This makes wipe recovery a little bit of a mess, because he's still up there. (Inside Nethergard keep was far enough away.)
He has a knockback, but it's not a normal knockback -- you will be punted, with not-removable slowfall, so far off the mountain that you will go out of combat.
He's immune to a ridiculous assortment of things, from dots to stuns to Hunter's Mark?
You can apparently only use your ward to summon him once, so, if you wipe someone else will have to do the summon next time.

So! From his platform, everyone but the summoner goes north and jumps down to that ledge with the blue rune on it. It says rune of return, but it doesn't do anything. Person summons, pulls him down to the ledge, everyone puts their backs to the mountain -- when he knocks back, you'll be thrown a few feet up and you'll slide back down the mountain to where you were.
We killed his first add and then burned him through the second. Don't forget to loot him; that would be terrible to forget.

To get down, go north down to the next ledge, then east/right down the side, then it's just small drops from there.

This is not an easy quest. We were all 60s. Warrior tank, paladin healer, fury warrior, raid-geared hunter, warlock.
