58,70 is where the shamans spawn. They dont spawn at the 61,54 coords, brutes, maulers and warlocks do but not shamans

Shamans are rare to find, but they can be found on the ruins, around or inside the cave located in the south.

Take the quest https://www.wowhead.com/classic/quest=3002 before beginning the grind since Mage-Lords are at the same place.

You can find shaman (as well as Warlock) more frequently around 59,66. Shaman are kinda hard to find tough, so you may need to wait a bit for the respawn.

The shamans are just located to the south, 61,65, you can find all 10 there... good luck !

Some Shamans inside the building at 58,70. Just farm and wait for respawns.

I find Warlocks and Maulers together south(entrance) of the building, and lots of Shamans by the west of the building (facing the entrance) with Battlemasters

Maulers and Warlocks are at location 60,55 and shamans are at 61,71

Is it me or are there very few Shaman spawns? I mean there are tons of Maulers and Warlorks, but I only found 3 spawns, and they are not always Shamans. Can someone tell me where there would a large abundance of Shamans?

Simple answer, the shamans are located deeper into the Ruins of Isildien. Past the gate at the beginning they are plentiful and easy to run across.

I saw two respawn around me at 60, 67 and two are inside the cave whose entrance is at 61, 69. =)

The shammys are indeed at 60, 65. There are only a few interspersed with warlocks around a little stone gazebo with a 46 Warlord in it. Kill the mobs around there, and pretty much only shamans spawn. Once I killed the first bunch, it was shamans OH MY.

The Warlocks and Maulers are easily found, just like the quest states, as soon as you enter the high wilderness, opposite dire maul, south of the road, they are abundant.

SHAMANS ! Where r the Shamans was my questions after killing enough of the other required types.

I found one lousy Shaman at the bridge of the temple to the east(slightly) then I remembered the are from before.

The Shamans r best found on the south and southeastern terrace of the temple ... ON THE BACK and right to the acropolis where warlords are foun, u hang around a bit do some killing the repops r fast...
you'll have all the Shamans you need in no time.

Shamans and Warlocks can be found around 59,67 and 60,65. They are surrounded by Mage-Lords and a Warlord.

Warlocks and Maulers can be found at 59,65.

If you grind between these two areas you can successfully complete the quest in less than 20 minutes (at the recommended level).

If you do not have coordinates, these areas are found just sound of the area marked "The Wilderness" on your world map, which is South of the path near Dire Maul and Southwest from Camp Mojache.

The Shamans are considerably fewer than the rest...however, there is a small cave just NE of the temple and I found all but one Shaman in there.
Easy money.

This is one of those quests that is great for grinders out there as ogres are not runners and have relativly low hp. Just follow the road south west out of Camp Mojache, go over the bridge, just past the bridge there will be some oger flags (my own term) on the left had side of the road. This is where i found the Maulers and Warlocks.(Ruins of Isilidien)(59,65)

As a few people above said the Maulers are plentiful and the Warlocks are few, but they respawn very quickly so dont get frustrated. I just killed everything in this first area about 3 times to get the warlocks. Once you get your needed kills head north thru the woods passed all the bears till you come to a large structure. No need to go in side as the Shamans are located Under the ramp, and patroling either side of the ramp around them main structure. (60,65) and around the Gazebo at (59,67).

At both of these locations they are either with the battlemasters and mage lords, or will spawn after killing the battlemasters lvl 45 and 46 and mage lords lvl 44. It was fairly easy to control agro since as i mentioned before ogers dont run or call for help, and they are spaced far enough apart that you can pull them back and go 1v1 or 1v2. I did this solo as a 43 undead shadow priest, no issues :)

They share the same spawn areas as the Battlemasters and Mage-Lords. If they aren't there start grinding on them until they start spawning. I Found them at the ruins of isildien far to the south. Chances are all of these guys have been right just when the rest of us get there the shamans aren't the ones that spawned.

Just like other posters I had no trouble until I got to the shamans. My group was camping out at the spots after we killed shamans and we noticed they often came back as warlocks so we just cleared the area of warlocks. On the next spawn the place was crawling with shamans, I think they might be linked. So as you hang around waiting for more to spawn knock off a few warlocks...it might speed up the process.

I found that if I killed Magelords in the Purple Buildings south of where the ruins start (sorry I don't have Cosmos for a Loc), Shamans, would pop.

This quest is annoying. the only way I have managed to get all the shamans was to wonder around the ruins at 59,72 and wait for respawns. best killing everything so the next spawn with be a shaman. It took me an hour.

Wow what an infuriating quest!

As mentioned the warlocks and maulers are easy but the shamans are far south around the big ruins, but there are about 1 shaman for every 2 warlocks, warlords, brutes, maulers, battlemaster and others you encounter... I did this at 42 so do yourself a favour and take a couple of buddies along to do this quest... oh and if you are horde on a pvp server, alliance love to gank you while doing this one.

I agree with the previous poster that you should combine this quest with "Dark Ceremony." I found these two quests easy for the level requirements (I'm a level 44 warlock). If you do combine quests, I suggest you not waste time tackling all of this quest before going after Dark Ceremony. Be opportunistic about what you kill on your way to the temple where you will likely find the mage-lord you need to acquire the quest orb for the ceremony quest. The reason is that if you complete all of the kills for this quest first, you'll end up needing to kill a bunch of guys on the way out anyway, that won't count towards anything but loot (which is okay too). If you finish up after the ceremony quest, you'll know exactly what is needed to be done with both. Be aware that the warlocks on this quest will hit you with a weakness dot spell (damage over time) that will linger for a bit after you kill them.

I'm curious to know whether the easiness of this quest for me had anything to do with the fact that such a high percentage of the mobs were casters versus my affliction based warlock caster. Do these guys go down easy for non-casters too?

Can also confirm 59, 65 co-ords and the facts they both respawn fast and everything is here.

A good quest to pair up with the dark ceremony in which you need the mage-lords to drop an orb. You find that quest on a scroll located with the prereq. first stage of this quest.

More Shamans could be found on the ruins main building! Just run i circles and kill... so they will spawn! lvl 44-45

You guys need to kill off the Battlemasters as well, since their repops are 50/50 Shamans and Battlemasters. thats why some people say there are lots of shamans and some say there are not.

Look for Gordunni Scroll on the ground there. Starts The Gordunni Scroll which leads to Dark Ceremony and then https://classic.wowhead.com/?quest=3002.

Rok Orhan in Camp Mojache wants you to kill 10 Gordunni Shaman, 10 Gordunni Warlocks, and 5 Gordunni Maulers.

Description

Now that you have proven that you are a true fighter, I trust that you possess the courage to continue with the task at hand.

Travel to the High Wilderness, southwest of here. There lie some abandoned and destroyed structures, on land that once belonged to the night elves. Look for these ruins, and when you see the withered trees and desecrated terrain, you will find the Gordunni. Push them back.

These ogres are much stronger than the ones you faced previously, <name>. Be aware.
