The staff and gloves are appealing upgrades if you get this quest done in your early 50's, but will be upgraded pretty quickly at level 60. The trinket, on the other hand, will last you well through your 60's.

Agreed with Kadaan. While the staff and gloves might seem tempting, don't take them. They'll be soon replaced by better items.

The trinket, on the other hand, can be used an indefinite number of times, and is a great way of restoring mana over a period of time. In raids, couple this with mana spring totem and / or Mana Tide totem, and you have yourself a great way of restoring mana to your party members over time, helping either healers / casters a lot.

This is the last part of a quest chain, the first part being either Mastering the Elements or Elemental Mastery (different start NPC, same end NPC), then Spirit Totem, then this.

The trinket is nice, but unfortunately it is in effect, a water totem, so you cannot have both the Water Spirit and a Mana Tide/Stream totem out at the same time. Unless you're spending most of your time in raids, you might be better off taking the gloves or staff.

WORD OF CAUTION: The trinket will use your water totem slot. You can't have both the trinket and mana tide active at the same time. Be careful to not use the trinket when you have another water totem out!

Seeing how I'm a DW shaman, the only reward I would consider taking is the trinket. Since I don't have any points in the resto tree, that will be a better upgrade to my mana totem.

I'd say the trinket too. You'll eventually end up with better gloves than those, and the staff is pretty poor really. The trinket however can be usefull for ages to come.

The tinket also works for party members too.

In a group of 5 mana users the 300mana x5 people is about 1500mana. Considering resting and pulling you could probably put this in every battle.

Like diamonds, tinkets are forever!

If you eve plan on playing as a level 60, the best choice is the trinket: Enamored Water Spirit

There are several other gloves such as Gordok Gloves and Earthfury that will replace the Azurite Fists.

The trinket is unique and since it is a mana spring the resto talents will increase its effectivity by 25%. The shaman talent review unfortunately removes eventide so you lose the extra 10 seconds.

1.10 with talents: 573 mana restored
1.11 with talents: 405 mana restored

Doesn't sounds like much, but when in a party of casters, its a nice filler between mana tides.

There are some fights where every bit of mana helps, so if you choose the trinket you will not regret it.

i can't stress how handy this trinket is! It may not b usful at the time, but when you start doing end game instances, it makes all the differance.

It does 34 mana regen per tick while the normal mana totem does a measly 12.. which is slightly higher if ur resto spec.

So take the trinket! Also, you will almost defintly get rid of the gloves and weapon in a few levels.. so they are useless

Everyone is posting arguments about the rewards. And only one quest comment. Its so annoying to read through all that crap for nothing. Can anyone actually give any tips on the quest? Other than the obvious, you need a group. Who drops them, drop rates, are they in a certain spot or everywhere, group size? Anything is greatly appreciated, thank you very much :)

even at 70 i still use this trinket, im a restoration spec shaman and it helps loads, the amount of mana it returns may not seem like alot but when stacked with mana tide right after and a mana stream put down later i can refill my mana bar in no time flat, this thing has been my favorite trinket and i will never ever get rid of it, considering the fact it cannot be vendored why in the heck would anyone ditch this fabulose trinket? ive seen shamans in full teir 3 prior to the patch this and some epic trinket, (not saying "Therefore it has to be good" just saying thats gotta count for something right?) but anyways staff, replaced with 2 hander in BRD within like 3 levels fists? replaced in like 3 levels with gauntlets of elements, if you messed up and got either of the others then the trinket page a GM and tell them you messed up or regret it later!

Even though the staff and gloves look AMAZING, they will not last you until endgame.

THe trinket will. It is FAR better than your spell totem, recieves buffs from talents, has only a 3 minute cooldown and best of all IT COSTS NO MANA.

Make sure you get the totem, it will easily last you endgame and people will love you for it.

the trinket costs NO mana. if ur going solo anywhere and ur out of mana, mana spring totems (the one from ur spells list) will cost something over 200 mana, so basically,the trinket gives FREE MANA.i dont know, but maybe it could save ur @$$.

As others have said, take the trinket. Unfortunately, when I did this quest, I was soloing most everything so I decided to go with the staff. Bad choice. Now at level 60, I am grouping more and the staff is looong gone. Sure wish I could go back and redo this. Consider in a raid if you have 10 or so reling on mana. That's alot of mana to spread the love.

I just tried, It's not very soloable after the first troll as you need to take out groups of 4 mobs >_<
very hard without CC as shaman.

Cooldown is 3 minutes, it does NOT stack with other mana totems, you can increase the amount of mana and duration with restoration talents, it does take a water slot so if you drop another water totem, the trinket totem will disappear.

i dont think its really worth the effort to go for the mini manna totem... it ony generates 320 mana per person over 24sec... thats nothing... not even a decent dmg spell

This !@#$ does not NOT last till end game even the trinket is worthless but it's better than getting some crappy gloves you soon replace with fire resistance or a staff thatsoon gets worthless when you can get rep in the battle grounds to gtet those really good items or the staffs from Scholo or DM north overall the quest is worthless and i just went with the trinket and i never use it in raids ever

Where in Sunken tempel do i find Gasher, Mijan, Zolo, Hukku, Zul'lor, and Loro?

As a level 60 shaman I was able to solo this. it is possible to get to two platforms without aggroing anything, just hugging walls and avoiding packs. The troll that spawns there is random, so get 2, reset and eventually you'll get all your feathers.

If the 4 doors/paths visible as soon as you zone in are numbered 1,2,3,4. 1 is up to green dragons, 4 down to the pit. Both #2 and #3 if you go up (avoid a pat) you can hug the walls and get to a platform. From the platform via 3, you can also see what's on #2 platform. Kill the trolls, reset for another set.

I was able to solo them as a Resto sham using Ele gear, some of the trolls themselves are harder than others (the amber feather ones are the hardest), but all doable just remember to interrupt and dont be afraid to run out if you do something silly.

And it takes up a trinket slot + replaces your water totem.
I would rather have the passive 10 mp5 from Mindtap, unless I'm going to be in a party who needs that mp5 above anything else.
