This polymorph is the same thing like a sheep but it's a Pig. :)

You can get this spell from the Archmage Xylem in Azshara.
You need to finish the quest "Warlord Krellian" and after Xylem will give you the quest "Fragmented Magic". You will need to sheep some Spitelash and wait 1 or 2 seconds , a mini sheep will spawn, kill 50 of this sheep and the quest is finish , return to Xylem and you will get the spell. The pig have different color :p

This exactly like rank 4 polymorph except has a different graphic is all so dont worry about shorten duration, or lengthened duration. This quest is fairly easy, 20 minutes top and you go yourself a new polymorph.

There is no difference between Polymorph:Sheep, Polymorph:pig, or Polymorph:Turtle.
Other then its a SHEEP, PIG, TURTLE.
And it allowed raid groups pre raid symbols to distinguish different targets and made for alot easier targetting and such.

IT is very useful to have mages differentiate between pigs, sheep, and turtles for fights like domo, or even humanoid/beast trash. this usually prevents sheeping the wrong mob and unsheeping the mob you were supposed to sheep.

The sheep clones run away from the original sheeped mob fairly quickly. If you try to do this with ranged attacks it will take forever. Stand right next to the mob, sheep, wait for the clones and pop an arcane explosion off. This will net you 3-5 clones and make the quest far shorter.

Learn as a Quest Reward from Archmage Xylem in Azshara, presumably only obtained at lvl 60.

Two step quest, first part is to obtain an item from Warlord Krellian - the Prismatic Shell.

The second part involves polymorphing the naga around the ruins. Once polymorphed they split into approximately 5 'Polymorph Clones'. You are required to kill 50 of these clones.

Return to the Archmage and he teaches you the spell 'Polymorph: Pig'. The pigs range in color from black to a light pink.

No it doesn't do anything different
Although I don't really think it's that exciting...you're just turing a mob into a pig.

yeah the tooltip specifically says one polymorph per mage so you can't poly 3 targets, one sheep, one pig, one turtle.

but, can anyone answer me this?

is it possible to have all 3 polys, the pig, turtle, and the sheep? or if you learn the pig, it replaces the sheep, and then if you learn the turtle, it replaces the pig? if you can only have one at a time, say you learned pig which is from a quest, and you replace sheep, then you learn turtle, which is from an item which is obtained easily, and can be done more than once, and you replace the pig, can you do the pig quest again? or your stuck with turtle?

First off, this quest can be done solo in 20 minutes from actual quest acceptance to final turn it.

It should be noted that in order to get to Archmage Xylem you have to talk to a guy just north of the Naga with a blue repeatable quest above his head, then you run up the hill into his tower. If you have trouble finding him go directly north from the bend in the road before the ruins and follow the mountain range.

When you go down to kill Warlord its very easy, I used POM and AP and burned both he and his guard down within about 5 hits. There are other Naga inside the Temple with him but they do not agro. Kill his lvl 52/53ish guard and then kill him. He is a lvl 55 and is not elite. Take his little shell and go back.

Get teleported back up to the tower. Turn that in and accept the 2nd part of the quest. Then run down, teleport back down to the other guy, and use the naga all around him in the ruins. Sheep them, and run up to them, after about 5 seconds you can AE whack the incredibly fast tiny sheep. I did AE just when I would see the main sheep disapeer. When you kill these little sheep the naga does not return so it is very quick. After about 12-15 naga you should have enough killed to turn in the quest.

Return to Xylem to receive your new Polymorph: Pig and be that much more usefull for Crowd Control in instances.

Anyone who says this quest is a waste of time obviously doesn't do instances with other mages or simply doesn't know how to play a mage well enough to do this quest in a timely fashion.

Do the quest and be a better mage for it.

With multiple mages, it'll be easier to distinguish which is polymorphed into what. Easier to tell what to kill the pig/turtle/sheep. For instance, a mage sheeped a caster and another mage "pigged/turtled?" a melee/range mob. However I doubt there'll be groups that need more than 2 mages in raids less than 10-man.

Probably only useful if there are people who stupidly get confused on what sheep to kill.

This quest doesnt seem to work on test realm they split into the mini clones but after i kill i dont get credit anyone else having this problem

To get pig quest you go to the tower in ashara (sry if spelling is bad). Go to the guy that ports you to the tower. The mage guy gives you the quest. All you need to do is poly the sepents in that city and kill the sheep that apper. Then you can poly pig. :)

Let me Clarify. There is a huge difference between pig and sheep. One tastes more chewy than the other. This leads me to the conclusion that pwning noobs is much more satisfying with pig. I'm working on a way to ask blizzard to make a weapon called the " Pig Cleaver" so we can really have some fun. Let me put it this way. You've been making people sheep for way too long now and Blizzard found a way to spice it up. It was a very dull, tasteless, and excrutiatingly boring spice, but it was a lvl 60 spice.... Which is even worse. Don't get me started on turtle because i chose to ignore that whole situation. Hope i helped you choose which barnyard animal you want to make into.... other barnyard animals in Warcraft.

There are many things in this game at higher levels that are nothing more than "glory items"; things you can show off to others that will set you apart, but are otherwise worthless. At least the new polys can help raid instances to let you know which cc is yours.

I like having the show pieces on my toon. It helps to distinguish you from the rest and gives a character more style.

It says only one target can be polymorphed at a time, does that mean with only one polymorph spell, or can you polymorph one person into a sheep, another into a turtle, and a third into a pig? The different polymorph spells are just for kicks and giggles?

You need to do 2 quest for learing this spell.

Keep in mind you need to be a Mage and be level 60 before you can get the quest.

Hello to everyone in 2020!

I learned this a loooooong time ago on my mage during TBC days and had to dig around to find how to get it today on my mage on a new server. Hey, what else you going to do to pass the time during Covid-19 lockdown!

This is now learned from "The Amazing Zanzo" in Dalaran (He appears and wanders around the city in both Northrend and Broken Isles versions of Dalaran.) I found him in the Broken Isles version just walking past the Herbalist trainer outside The Magnus Commerce Exchange walking towards the Violet Citadel.
