I don't spend NEARLY as much time as I would like in gold making. In WotLK I would do "Mining Monday" every week. 6 to 8 hours of just farming (and the occasional WPvP fight over a node. However in the new expac I plan on really embracing the phrase "TIME IS MONEY"
As far a digging goes, I've spent my far share of my Saturdays shifts at work digging. I was able to get the Ghost Moose. Which is awesome as I LOVE Moose!
I started making gold at the start of legion and hit 250k quickly then I went for 500k but got bored. I prefer to spend more time farming but can't bring my self to farm for hours on end. I plan on starting to flip the auction house at the begging of BFA and hitting 1million gold.
It's all good. :)
To be perfectly honest I haven’t done as much Archaeology in Legion as I should have lol. I haven’t completed any of the quests and one of the main reasons is time constraint (and sometimes lack of determination). It was actually one of my goals as I’m always excited to obtain new pets, artefacts, and mounts. This is what I’ll be looking forward to in BFA!
Selling the Obliterum would've been a great idea, but I decided to use them for alt catch up >.>
The zul'gurub recipes are much appreciated. New transmogs ! I wasn't around at the time so it is great to have back. Do we know if it involves any new currency or if it requires a rank in reputation ?
I haven't bothered with Archeology in Legion that much, but I did got the Moose Mount and the "Headmaster" title. If this is the "last" chance to get the pet and turn a pretty profit, I might as well do it.
I'm surprised by all those old recipes, maybe the Zul'farrak old world drop "bug" was a preparation for this? Probably not... still, I'd love to see more old world recipes come back.
As always I think battle pet will be a great way to farm gold couse you can sell them on different realm, farm it on a low pop server and sell in a high pop one. They also are good ti level up alts when you level pets to sell. =DAlso I'm really happy for the gurubashi recipe, I want to collect all the possible crafting recipes xD
Concerning reputations, I have 81 rep at exalted on my old main (including Shendralar and Zandalar Tribe), and 61 on my new main. I am working hard on both specifically BC and Classic reputations on my new main, and Draenor and Legion on my old one. It is annoying but I am motivated to do so.I like reputations so I will probably do so again in case of a new main...but I sincerely hope to see reputations account-wide, or at least treated like the Pandaria ones, with a strong buff in order to help alts in the process.
Honestly, I've never concentrated very much on making gold. Whenever I've tried, it's been confusing and/or a lot of work and I have better things to do. I have spent time farming, but it quickly gets boring and I fail to see the rewards. Oh - at the beginning of Legion it would have been very lucrative, but I was leveling my toons. Mainly, I get gold by looting. Though, I am now running old raids and starting to pay attention to the transmogs I'm picking up. So we'll see how that goes. Since I have <1million, I guess that's my goal to hit 1 million on a toon. I'm doing the mission halls, but I don't see the gold return the above guide mentioned. I might work a little more toward gold making with the next pack. I finally picked up an alchemist/herb and jc. Would be nice if bs and leather made gold. They've really nerfed those pros.
I take about an hour a day selling items on the AH. May do more with profession crafting then just selling raw mats in BFA. Curious to see the new "blood" and where it comes from.
I spend about 1-2 hours a month on making gold. My main activities in wow are mythic + dungeons.
I have WOW earning gold milestone by battle pet , but it will spend lots of time so you sohuld think about the point : Time is money In FBA, I think my target will be make 5million gold milestone to buy the new mount but I think it will be on the sameway to earn the godl milestone by selling rare battle pet
Okay, i need to get my order halls up and running. With 12 110's, i could be rolling in gold, instead of a measly 2m and still not even a spider mount :( This was invaluable to read.
I started digging at the end of the expansion (and I completed only 5 quests or so). But I remember how I did Eche'ro's quest in two hours. That is actually the reason why I decided to give archeology a break :) Hope in BfA we will have some interesting plots (and toys!), not just digging for the sake of the digging.
I look forward to Archaeology, cause it's very relaxing. I'd love to see more mounts of it and I miss the old way of digging - you had a journal entry and you knew what you were gathering the pieces for. I also remember that digging was the only available activity after WoD launch, since everything else was lagging XD
Glad to see the Zul'Gurub recipes making a return. Good news for completionists out there!
