all these contests this week wow
a lot of people say its got a more oldschool feel but i feel like its got a WoD feel since its a new expanison its got a feel of its own
I think we will have to look at what is the definition of "fun". Personally as a hardcore player with a resto druid main, i find that the array of skills provides us the flexibility to adapt to various situations and the depth of the class(which is something i highly value). Others might feel that this complexity is making things difficult for them which will turn them off.Another aspect about WoW that was exhausting was the apparent need to min-max (as mentioned). Most players might not see the significance of min-maxing dps but from what i see from combat logs (World of Logs) the difference at ilvl580 can reach up to 100k dps or more (pre-6.0). From basic dps skills like refreshing your DoTs when your trinket procs to ridiculously extreme means like changing and relearning your profession to optimize dps. This makes the game feel like a chore especially when the difference is further amplified on fights like Siegecrafter and Garrosh where that extra dps makes a HUGE difference. I m glad they removed / changed many aspects of the game which was once factors in contributing to combat effectiveness like reforging and combat perks of professions.
So far I feel that every change has been a vast improvement and has made many classes much more enjoyable. So excited to go to Draenor soon!
This patch seems better than i thought :)
I'm thinking all these changes can be good.
hopefully it turns out really well! looking forward to it
so far looking forward to all the changes
It's nice that they're at least talking about changing around healing mechanics. The button bloat was getting ridiculous, as well as the stat min-maxing on everything. I'm still not a fan of their enchanting point-of-view, along with the removal of profession related gear enhancements and the function of garrisons, I just feel every expansion makes professions more and more obsolete.
Buff Trees
I honestly wish the game had more of the RPG elements. I like transmog for example. The reason it was such a pain was because of hit/expertise. I guess if it was up to me we would still have weapon skills. I personally liked seeing myself skill up when I was leveling. I get why people didn't like it but I loved that stuff.
Feral feels so fun right now. I cannot wait to get to 100 and get back, then I will feel whole again.
Amazing <3
I'm loving the ret paladin so far
Very interesting!
i think item/ability squish is absolutely legit, my bars are pleasured :)
Im looking forward to these changes and what ive seen in the prepatch so far has been amazing.
I honestly really think that keeping variety is not going to be the only reason to bring a ret pally to the raid.- Hey, who's that guy?- He's my nephew, Bob.- And what's he doin' here?- Ah, don't worry about him, he's just spectating, but pink looks nice on our raid tabs, don't you think?
I actually haven't had an issue over the changes. I've heard others that want to throw in the towel after 10 years. Maybe just get some zen and try it out and decide objectively. :)
